The smooth citric
Sometimes a fragrance talks to you in a special language from the beginning. ES LP does. Therefore.this is in my top20.
I remember trying it in the taxfree shop and falling for it immediately. This has a very unique citric opening, and that was what caught my attention. I love citric notes, and this is so fresh and yet so welcoming and warm.
The scent is quite linear to me, and I dare say that Francis Kurkdjian has made one of his best compositions with this. He is the nose behind the very fresh Gaultier Fragile edt, the wonderful Narciso Rodriguez For Her edt and the wonderful fruity/floral Emmanuel Ungaro Apparition, all loved fragrances in my collection. But with this he tops the top.
It starts, as mentioned, pretty citric, and yet there is a smoothness to it that catches my interest every time. I am sure it is the gardenia underneath that makes me so excited, and it keeps sending out this marvellous mix throughout the hours. This is made for warm, lazy summerdays. For relaxing in the shade in a hammock. For sipping Aperol Spritz on the terrace, looking at the blue sea. For walking under palm trees, feeling warm, white sand underneath bare feet. Smelling the ocean. Feeling relaxed.
The bottle is something else. Cut glass, looking like a diamond, feeling heavy in your hand. Sylvie de France, who made Nina Ricci’s La Tentation bottle, has made a real winner. This will always be on my shelf.
