Panic was ready and he stopped while hectically rummaging through his samples and bottlings. Now, it seemed to him, some fragrances have been forgotten. He saw Essence N*3 and vague memories came up. Was that not a Kurkdijan? And didn't he even like it very much at the first test? The hectic pace of life gradually subsided.

An immensely sensual and beautiful ambergris, soft, gourmand, warm, capturing. Sweet vanilla, well-balanced in the overall structure. Sweet, but not too sweet. Over time, a light fresh note is added - right on the edge, hardly noticeable at all.

N*3 sounds balsamic.

Amber or car?

Hey guys, first of all happy new year to you all :)
Let's see if you read this at all or if you (as I actually also) tired yawning in a corner herumgammelt because you went to sleep late last night and drank way too much, even if New Year's Eve coronabedingt should have turned out rather small for most.

Well anyway, I still write times, so or so, there is just no escape from me, heh he :D
Today comes Elie Saab, and no, this is not a model of the car brand Saab, which no longer exists anyway, but a fragrance brand. But probably you ladies already knew that anyway, but male readers might have been thinking of cars, who knows, after all I think you're all totally stupid and... argh, did I say that out loud now? Crap crap crap, ... forget what I said :D (honestly, I was determined to stop making fun of you guys in the new year... but I can see that's so not going to work... :D)

So, anyway, it's about the fragrance Essence No 3 Ambre. As already derivable from the name, it's about an amber fragrance that should come across gourmandy-oriental, which seems to be made for such cold days as now in winter, right? Anyway, amber is always a nice scent that works well on both women and men and yes, let's see how this scent is here.
Read in detail my text and forget that I constantly grumble about you, yes? :D

The scent:

The fragrance starts off with a strong and sweet amber note. In addition, the fragrance also exudes tart and spicy scents, I would guess general woods here. Because of the vanilla though (and also the resins), the scent quickly becomes softer and of course sweeter. Later, I still smell a lot of vanilla and amber, but you also start to smell earthy patchouli.
This gets stronger over time, though it always stays a step behind the vanilla. Otherwise, there are still tart-spicy scents in the background, which fit very well with the rest of the fragrance, I think.
Strictly speaking, not much actually happens towards the end, the fragrance continues to remain mostly as described. Only the intensities of the individual fragrance notes change, that is, most of them become weaker and weaker over time.
At the very end, you smell the most only the vanilla and the amber, still a while later almost only the vanilla.

The sillage and the durability:

The charisma is very strong, so that one leaves a decent scent tail just by walking by. So one will be quite long quite good to smell, because the shelf life has also turned out very good with over ten hours.

The flacon:

The bottle is rectangular with beveled surfaces and is filled with a honey-colored fragrance liquid. The lid is black and cylindrical. The flacon looks generally already noble, but also quite simple.

Conclusion:

So, that was the amber fragrance from the Essence series of Elie Saab. Some compare amber sometimes yes also with liquid gold, which could well apply, because amber is simply a great fragrance and works well processed excellent in fragrances. This fragrance here also turned out absolutely wonderful, smells just great and I'm sure it could also go down well with others. Which makes it also super for going out, especially in autumn and winter.

Well, now during the pandemic to write that you could go out well with the fragrance is certainly wrong, but you know what I mean. If people don't act too much of a fool and finally realize that the disease actually exists and is also very serious, then hopefully we can get through the pandemic better, but more importantly, faster and finally enjoy life properly again with scents like these! (On the other hand, did I just say that I hope people could be less stupid about it now? Argh,... forget that again, that will never happen, humans remain stupid without end,... there even my little cat with his little pea brain has more intelligence in his soft little head than half of Germany together, mu ha ha :D)

As I said, for better times you can remember this fragrance but times, because his scent is wonderful, and he is also still unisex and yes, so he is of course a recommendable fragrance!

Gourmand noble warmth

The first thing you can notice is an intense viscous and very strong sweetish resinous note, which appears incredibly soft and smooth creamy and is due to the Spanish Labdanum.

A little later, the labdanum undergoes a slight but noteworthy change of direction and is accompanied by a clear, sweet, creamy note reminiscent of vanilla pudding, which gives the fragrance a wonderfully gourmand aura and comes from the Bourbon - Vanilla.

At the same time, these two notes are enveloped by a light, but very well perceived balsamic milk chocolate note with a subtle spicy touch, which gives the fragrance a wonderful, noble warmth and is derived from Sumatra benzoin.

Later on, the above notes are underpinned by a fine, tart, slightly sweet and earthy note of vetiver and Indian patchouli, which are by no means too prominent, but in my opinion have been used to ensure that Essence N°3: Ambre does not end up too clumsy, but with extremely pleasant nuances.

In total the fragrance lasts 9 hours on my skin
The Sillage is designed from the beginning to be 4 hours on a very clearly perceptible full arm length, before it is minimized in quiet steps until the fragrance is finished.

A very refined amber

Ambre is a perfume on amber, which shows us a sweet, elegant and very powdery fragrance, somewhat feminine, but nothing worrying for a self-confident man.

The aroma of this perfume is soft, delicate and sweet at all times, although it is not cloying or excessive. It does not show us a hard or intense amber, on the contrary, it shows us the most innocent facet of this resin. At the beginning, very sweet and vanilla amber is perceived, with a quite remarkable resinous air, this vanilla is very well executed and does not have excesses of sweetness. Little by little the aroma begins to dust and you feel the amber wrapped by the vanilla and a floral note that I would not know how to define, and all this, on a background of patchouli and sandalwood. Here the amber loses some sweetness and begins to exude elegance, creating a sophisticated and sober aroma, with a very beautiful and powdery floral-woody point, something feminine, but still exquisite. This way the aroma is maintained until it dies on the skin, except for a small vaporous balsamic veil that appears in the final drying, which could be due to opoponax, but always slightly powdery.

The development of this perfume is very fast, the aforementioned is felt in the first hour of application, then the aroma remains unchanged until the end. This perfume infuses me with the image of an attractive and sophisticated woman, dressed in a suit, an executive, an enterprising woman, who knows what she wants and is not daunted by anything.

The performance of the perfume is good, about 8 or 9 hours on skin and with a very good trail in the first hours, then it goes to moderate high. It is a perfume for cold or temperate climates and to dress it, indifferently, both day and night.

For me, the aroma has a certain feminine air, which makes me not finish loving it and can only say that I like it. It is not feminine to the point of not being able to dress a man, I will continue dressing it until it runs out, but yes, it would be good a tasting before.
