well-rounded refreshment
I ordered this because I'm always looking for rhubarb scents. This is a really nice one. The rhubarb here isn't thick and jammy like Comme des Garcons Sherbet: Rhubarb, and it isn't sweetened into oblivion as in the original Hard Candy. Rather, it's a pretty, tart little accent to a calm and refreshing tea scent. The ginger and cardamom add a little interest and take it out of the ordinary range of summer tea/lemon scents. As a result, it's also quite pleasant in fall weather, where one appreciates more complexity. It lasts well and, while it's not "natural," there are no aggressively synthetic notes calling attention to themselves. Well-balanced, inexpensive, and a great deal at the price. (Less than $20 US for 50 ml at the discounters and eBay.)
