it's okay

From the entire house of Ella-K offerings this one is the weakest from the bunch. I smelled that watered down lily before and many times. I'm thinking of FM lys and Le Labo crossbreeding in some pond. Feels a bit uninspiring in comparison to the rest. Full bottle is a no go for me. Sampling this one it is just okay. I don't want okay in my collection.

Definitely do look into the rest of the offerings from this house though. Letter de Pushkar, Epupa mon Amour, Reflet Sur l'Okavango, Poeme De Sagano, Memoire de Daisen In are really amazing and unique. price point is very justifiable for those five

Enchanting mist that unfortunately fades away too quickly

“The Mist of Khao Sok” - I had to Google the national park in Thailand and look at pictures of it.
When I smell the fragrance, I think of a cool stream in the greenery (but not in a forest) with lots of smooth, polished stones inside. Therefore, I find the name well chosen, with the exception that I imagine it to be very warm and humid in Khao Sok National Park; this scent is certainly not that.
Brumes de Khao-Sok is a pure fragrance - not to be confused with freshness (like fresh laundry), but really pure and crystal clear. It impresses with its green freshness and subtle floral notes. It surely fits wonderfully into everyday life and if you have a job where you shouldn’t/want to wear strong scents. That being said: unfortunately, the fragrance doesn’t last very well on me. I also feel like it has matured. When I first received it, I could already smell nothing of the wonderful mist after 10 minutes. Now, about a year later, I can perceive it much more intensely and for a longer time, but it remains very close to the skin throughout and doesn’t radiate. But not every fragrance has to come with a sledgehammer.

Brumes de Khao-Sok is for me a fragrance that opens the gate to another world.
I see the sparkling forest of Avatar before me ... tropical-shimmering-beautiful!
(Okay, this has happened to me with Aura by Mugler as well, but that's just a side note!) ;)

About the fragrance:
Brumes de Khao-Sok starts off immediately green-ethereal ... the scent first reminds me of those American mint candies "Lifesavers Wint-O-Green" :)
Soon floral notes join in (a wonderful lily, and I’m really picky about this, as I usually can’t stand lily).
As it develops, woody tones and musk follow. It remains green-ethereal until the end!
I find the scent cool with a certain sharpness and hardly sweet.
More creamy than powdery is this emerald green dream.
Definitely quirky and very special!
For me, this fragrance definitely belongs in spring and summer.
Unfortunately, it runs out of steam after about 6 hours, and the sillage is rather close to the skin. But in summer, that's okay for me ;)
Unisex? Yes, definitely! :)
The green liquid could not be more perfectly chosen, and the bottle is simple yet elegant.

Conclusion:
I've never smelled anything like this-
as if diving into another world!
Green-fresh-woody-ethereal scent :)
