I think I'm too young for you...

I was so incredibly excited that I was one of the lucky ones who won you, and when you finally landed in my mailbox, I could hardly wait to try you out. So I quickly unwrapped you - a few samples were also included, how sweet! - and off went the first little spritz on my wrist. Full of anticipation, I sniffed you...

... and thought only: Huh? What? What happened here? You don't smell at all like I expected!

Instead of the hoped-for fruity scent experience, something very herbal and slightly powdery wafted into my nose! What?! The literally bitter berries remain very strong in the background, and I can't smell any lemon in the top notes at all. The lily of the valley is practically nonexistent in my olfactory perception. The musk is clearly noticeable - right from the start - but it's not a nice, fine musk; rather, it's a nasty, cloying one. Moreover, you stick to my skin and stubbornly refuse to play nice with my natural scent. After half an hour, I couldn't stand you on me anymore and had to jump in the shower. No, no, unfortunately, we don't get along.

Dear Casino Action: Please don't take it personally. I don't even think you smell bad per se - but you are definitely too herbal and too bitter for me! Maybe I'm just a bit too young for you...

I would be happy if I could sell or swap you so that someone else finds more joy in you than I can. Because to just stand alone on my shelf and gather dust, I find you too precious for that!

I was also one of the lucky ones who received a sample of CASINO ACTION WOMAN.

Curiously, I first sprayed the scent on my wrist. Initially quite sharp and fresh, it quickly becomes softer and fruitier. The longevity is surprisingly good; it is noticeable on me for 6 hours.

However, one should be careful if using it as a deodorant and spraying it on freshly shaved armpits.... Ouch....

Soft Fruity with a Clean Note

From the perfume deodorant sprays donated for the celebration of the Parfumo comment anniversary by the brand Casino Parfuem Saxonia, my lucky draw has awarded me a specimen:
CASINO ACTION FOR WOMAN.

I applied, although or perhaps because I rarely use deodorant sprays, with a few exceptions. Most of the time, they are too intense, too artificial, too "cheap" and irritate my nose. I prefer subtle or even unscented roll-ons.
However, I cannot simply dismiss a perfume deodorant that is not only scented but is also intended to be a perfume.

Casino Action for Woman has been offered since 2011 by a (revived) traditional company from the GDR, Casino Parfuem Saxonia Fritzsche & Enders GbR, which once produced the legendary "Scent of the Executive Secretary" Casino de Luxe as a state-owned enterprise and now has it back in the program.

The essential point right away: This perfume deodorant spray does indeed differ from Rexona, Fa, 8x4 & Co., meaning it delivers on its promise of being a perfume.

From the listed fragrance notes of black currant, lily of the valley, ylang-ylang, lemon, leaves, and musk, I can identify an aromatic, dark fruity accord reminiscent of a forest berry jam made from selected, ripe fruits, of course. The "leaves," whatever they may be, provide a fresh counterpart to prevent any impression of "sweet and heavy" from arising. I cannot perceive floral and citrus notes separately. No, the sweetness is pleasant, by no means intrusive, warm, and soft.

In general, restraint is a quality feature of this product, which does not want to be perceived as a deodorant spray and certainly deserves the designation of perfume. The soft, somewhat soapy musk base then adds to the suitable impression of "freshly washed."
Finely and cleanly scented, what more can one expect from a perfume deodorant?

I can rate the deodorizing effect positively; as an antiperspirant, it is not designed anyway, thus it can do without the aluminum salts that are often criticized - whether rightly or wrongly.

All in all, a recommendable alternative if one wants to combine perfume and deodorant and thereby avoid an unpleasant odor chaos.

Green, green, green are all my clothes

I was very pleased to have won this fragrance because I really like retro scents. They remind me of the "good old days." When I wear them, I feel somewhat transported in time and can almost sense the prevailing lifestyle and the spirit of past days. Something from the past can often be beautifully combined with new things. Sometimes this creates a wonderful and very current symbiosis.
I find it a bit difficult to describe the scent of this deodorant, as the olfactory impression cannot be easily divided into top, heart, and base notes. The components of the fragrance blend together quite quickly.
Moreover, it has been several years since I used perfume deodorants. That was back when I couldn't afford real perfumes yet. But at that time, it was a welcome alternative to perfumes. For those who often find perfumes too strong, a perfume deodorant is a good alternative to still smell nice.

This one belongs to the fresh, green deodorants for everyday use. I noticed that it does not contain aluminum, which is suspected of possibly not being very health-friendly. That is a huge plus point for me.

The scent starts green and citrusy, somewhat bitter, but not too bitter. Fresh, as one would expect from a classic deodorant scent. It does not lose this freshness even after hours.
The slightly floral, light floral notes follow shortly after, embedded in green notes. White flowers of lily of the valley and warm ylang-ylang are accompanied by a slightly fruity, berry-like blackcurrant note. However, these flowers and the blackcurrant are somewhat overshadowed by the green dominance of the leaves. Later on, though, you can detect a very light sweetness of the berries that rounds out the scent overall. The scent remains rather green and slightly bitter.
The delicate, slightly animalistic musk base is probably a classic in perfume deodorants and is also present here. It accompanies the green, fresh scent projection.

The deodorant has a slightly powdery feel and has something of a green, citrusy, slightly fruity chypre, even though the components cannot classically create a chypre, it reminds me very much of one.

Based on the deodorant components, I find it hard to imagine what the perfume must have smelled like. After mistakenly thinking that this scent was the one worn by executive secretaries, I learned that it was specifically developed for teenagers. Well, what can I say? Preferences have changed. The teenagers of back then have indeed grown up today.

I can very well imagine it with a classic gray or green suit. But the scent also suits sporty women who simply want to smell fresh and well-groomed, without being too conspicuous. Essentially, it is an all-round deodorant scent that fits anytime.

The deodorant effect is quite good, considering that it is not an antiperspirant but a deodorant. However, the scent is not very long-lasting. After about three hours, I no longer perceive it.
