Intuitively Found - Never Sought Intuitively
Today I had to take care of something in one of my many neighboring cities. Fortunately, there were four perfumeries right on site, at least one of which is owner-operated, and I was hoping to find some lost treasures or bargains or even both.
In addition to the usual suspects, I actually discovered something that had never consciously crossed my path before - namely, Intuition for Men by Estée Lauder.
The tester still seemed relatively fresh, and together with the charming and friendly saleswoman, I tried to figure out what might be in it.
As a start, bright spicy, woody notes waft towards you, and a sweet powderiness also makes its presence felt. Initially, sandalwood and iris were suspected, but the summoned owner was able to quickly clarify the contents, which he apparently copied from a sales brochure from Estée Lauder. That was really very customer-oriented, but only after the base note faded can I say with certainty what to think of Intuition.
Since the entire experience is over in just four hours, I also know that I haven't missed anything all these years. Unfortunately, Intuition for Men reminds me too much of Minotaure by Paloma Picasso, albeit in a slightly woodier version and less with a floral undertone. In this case, I would still prefer Intuition - all in all, this fragrance is just not for me, and I wonder why on earth four perfumers had to tinker with it. Well, sometimes you find things you never sought - and also don't really need ...
