Indescribable
Wow, I wish I could find a way to express how this perfume smells better.

It's not my normal type of scent, much more powdery and slightly more floral and herbal than I gravitate towards. However, the blend on this is impeccable. Chef's kiss, no notes, it is stunning.

I'm going to try (and miserably fail) to describe how this scent smells. It smells like a dream. Like walking on a cloud just after the sun has gone down. It's cool, but not cold. Maybe late spring or early summer. The sky is light and shimmery, the stars just visible. There's a light breeze, and the world is calm.

It's floral, powdery, a little earthy, and the sweetness of the plum pulls it all together into a beautiful feminine scent, somehow simultaneously very deep and very simple.

I cannot get enough of this scent.

Awakened
When I wake up in the morning, I occasionally remember dreams that I recall but don’t quite remember. I know it was about an important topic, but which one? I know there were others involved, friends and acquaintances, but who? I know it was all somehow complicated, but why? Only the dream atmosphere, I can name, because it is still there upon waking.
I feel similarly about Sensuous Stars.

Not that I can’t name the fragrance notes; they are very clear to me. The most prominent is the beautiful, dry iris, followed by plum. The lavender - well, if I read the pyramid and then search for it again, I can also smell a hint of it. But that’s not all; I also notice something very artificial, cool. I believe it’s Iso-E-Super. Perhaps there’s also a pepper scent involved. In the combination of these notes, I get the impression of a slightly sour, subtle leather.
So, I can name the fragrance notes, but they seem, similar to when I wake from such a dream, somehow intangible. I smell them and I don’t smell them. I sprayed the fragrance, and after a short time, it crosses my mind whether I forgot to perfume myself today. Then I smell my wrist and realize that everything is indeed there, as expected. In the three days that I’ve worn the fragrance now, I’ve had the involuntary urge to reapply it after just two or three hours each time, because the scent felt like it was no longer there, even though it still was. It hadn’t even become weaker.
How does that happen?

I believe it’s the scent ingredient that I think I recognize as Iso-E-Super or another artificial component that I don’t particularly like because I perceive it as cold and lifeless, but to which I adapt very quickly. This means that, on one hand, it no longer bothers me, but unfortunately, it seems that all the other notes of the fragrance are taken along with it in a sort of collective guilt by my brain. Then it seems to me that the whole fragrance has disappeared, although when I consciously sniff, it is completely present.

I find that very unfortunate. I like Sensuous Stars. I really enjoy how the plums and the iris, both distinctly present on their own, come together to form a leather note, even if they seem a bit lifeless and cool.

And like with these dreams, I have the feeling that I actually want to keep Sensuous Stars, but in the end, I probably won’t keep it after all.

Far Away on a Star
Outside, the sun is setting.
I go into the bedroom of the little house, upstairs.
I open the creaky little and wobbly wooden drawer of the nightstand.
On the lilac Mille fleurs wallpaper lies a little book, somewhat dusty and yellowed.
Le Petit Prince.
I lie down on the freshly made bed, dressed in Laura Ashley bedding; it is cool, and I feel safe and transported back to my childhood, when everything was still slower and quieter, in the evening at my grandparents' forest cottage.
I browse a bit, and it feels wonderfully unhurried, so peaceful and far away from the whole world.
Outside, the first stars are now twinkling, and I feel like I’m on one of them.
I go to the window and let the evening air in, as it gets a bit warmer in the room; the plums in the fruit bowl begin to scent, also a woody aroma-are it the trees outside the window that are still warmed by the sunlight of the day, perhaps a hint of wild lavender...

Hm...
Sensuous Stars contains two fragrance notes that I generally like very much: plum and lavender. The third note in the mix, iris, is often a bit too bulky and powdery for me.
That the scent would also be powdery was to be expected. However, I find the perfume to be very powdery. I also mainly perceive the iris. The plum joins in, and my nose simply cannot detect the lavender. What a pity, I had imagined the combination with lavender to be really beautiful.
The scent is fresh for a moment when sprayed on and then immediately becomes floral - powdery.
Then I personally notice a chewing gum note. Something about the scent seemed familiar to me, as if I had smelled something similar before. And then I thought of my remaining bottle of Insolence by Guerlain. Yes, this chewing gum note is similar, and both scents are powdery. However, Insolence is significantly more potent in terms of sillage and longevity. And it also smells a bit old-fashioned. In my comparisons, I am now already detecting violets in Sensuous Stars. Of course, the two perfumes are different. I just perceive that one note in both that smells like chewing gum to me.
Sensuous is modern and milder. The sillage is moderate for me, and the scent lasts about 4 - 6 hours, although it becomes quite close to the skin after 2 hours. It is pleasant to wear, even though it has a very distinctive and by no means a 08/15 DNA. That could certainly become annoying. For me, this is a perfume that can be worn well in spring and autumn and requires a certain mood. I definitely do not see it as a no-brainer, as it is too iris-heavy.

My nose seems to work differently
It is really exciting how differently one can perceive a fragrance. I have read many statements that made me believe I might like the scent. However, since that was not the case when testing it, I would like to share my impressions.
For me, it is veeeery sweet. Someone mentioned "plum liqueur." Yes, that's true. It comes across as extremely sticky, and yes: the plum smells quite artificial. Recently, I processed a whole bucket of plums, and they definitely smelled different. The lavender is very subtly noticeable but is extremely overshadowed by the plum note. The same goes for the iris. It is not powdery for me at all. I cannot confirm that it doesn't last long. I perceived it intensely for many, many hours, to the point where it became too much for me. The dress then stayed in the laundry basket overnight, and what can I say? The scent absolutely did not fade. Anyone who enjoys extremely sweet and fruity plum fragrances with very long-lasting power will surely be satisfied. I prefer it less intense, so I’m out when it comes to this scent.

Stunningly sublime, feminine, intellectual blend of gorgeous iris over plum skin, smooth and waxy, the lavender adds a hint of powder.

Wow-Iris (rather dry-unpowdered), which gains some sweetness from the plum. Lavender ("not biting") adds to the unpretentious impression. Wonderful!

Plum-soft cream powder with an iris-typical lipstick vibe, pleasant sweetness. Pretty, but not unusual. Quite linear.

An uncomplicated all-rounder - powdery, delicately fruity-sweet, then becomes creamier. Subtly present.
Stylistically, it reminds me of Nomade.
