One of Estee Lauder Best
I'm in love with this stuff, Estee Lauder Infinite Sky.

When I heard, online, that Estee Lauder was joining the couture fragrance trend, I respected it--- due to the minimalism of the bottles and the lower price range than other brands.

Yet my impression stop when I read the notes pyramids of most of them. I was trying to pull out the most resin filled, gourmand one, and couldn't
Finally after a year, I gave them a sniff and this one, Infinite Sky, I knew was something I would like. So I sprayed it on the tester card, brought it home, placed it in my window and I was hooked.

This was right after I finally pull the trigger and brought Aerin Tangier Vanille.
Very relatable these two, but if I had smelt Infinite Sky first, Tangier Vanille would have went on the back burner again.
There's the same multifaceted vanilla as in Tangier, but here the pepper just spices it up, and also fruits it up. I thought it had a little Mugler Angel essence to it today when I sprayed it on (not a fan of Angel, but respect it!) Sometimes this is fruity, sometimes this is gourmand, sometimes this is peppery, sometime this is spicy.

Yet, If you are a vanilla fan, an Estee Lauder fan, you have to experience this!
This is one of Lauder best fragrances! --Sits alongside Spellbound, Youth Dew, Cinnabar.
Right up there. Good and competitive American fragrance(s) ---comparable to Guerlain Couture Vanille's
( you know ...your Angelique Noire's, Spiritueuse Double Vanille's)

I can't help but call it one of my favorite fragrance in my wardrobe; I don't want to run out !!!
P.S: I even got the candle for this year Christmas Present. In fact,, this was a surprise Christmas Present and scent last year to myself.

Sky or earth?
With the name Infinite Sky I imagined a fluffy, airy vanilla with a touch of spice, but this is something completely different. More earth than sky.
It's a very peppery vanilla/amber scent that opens up quite harsh and dry. Szechuan pepper has a mouth-numbing quality in cooking, which is difficult to translate to a perfume. Here they made it very sharp and nose-tingling to get a similar effect.

The rest of the scent is not just vanilla, but warm, gooey amber. It has spicy, balsamic, sweet and even orangey facets to it, which makes me think of cola gummy candies. The base notes are pretty nice, I always enjoy this kind of winter warmer amber scents. The szechuan pepper is way too rough and intense for me though, even though I tend to like spicy scents. It's scratchy in the opening, which I don't appreciate at all.
After several hours the spiciness calms down and the vanilla finally shines. At this point I really like Infinite Sky, but it isn't worth waiting so long.

This could easily be unisex, the scratchy pepper actually reminds me of male-marketed colognes and the amber base is not decidedly feminine either. If you love really peppery scents and don't mind a dry texture, you might like this. Not a bad scent, just very different from what I expected.

Not for Gourmande Lovers
The simple scent notes immediately appealed to me. I love vanilla. I had imagined a spicy-vanilla gourmand fragrance. When I finally managed to get a miniature, I waited over a week for the shipment. Always disappointed when the postman came without any fragrance mail for me. When it finally arrived, I couldn't wait. I had to test it immediately. And my first thought was: the scent does not meet my expectations at all. I had read multiple times that the fragrance is unisex, but Baccarat Rouge is too. Unfortunately, I was not familiar with the often-mentioned L'homme idéal and couldn't picture it. I expected a sweet, rather feminine scent. I perceive Infinite Sky more as a masculine fragrance. It has nothing creamy or sweet about it. The vanilla only comes through very subtly. The focus is on the pepper. A sharp, dry scent. So, for those like me expecting a sweet gourmand, you won't find it in Infinite Sky.

Frankincense Vanilla
The Infinite Sky was recommended to me by another perfume enthusiast, so I had to get a 10 ml decant here. Thanks to Britta.
The scent is not world-class but also not bottom-tier.
You get a subtly scented vanilla paired with spice and frankincense. This is not listed here, but I perceive a slightly sweet frankincense. Maybe it's the Zelkova, I don't know, but that's how it is for my nose.
The scent is unisex; however, I actually find it a bit more masculine, and if it's worn by a woman, then only from a certain age. It's not for those in their 20s or 30s. The woman wearing this can have a wrinkle here and there and be in the midst of life. I can't imagine this scent on a suit-wearer. That doesn't work. It's more suited for a casual style with a leather jacket, etc...
Sillage and longevity are not brutal but a solid 7.5.

When I Fell in Love with a Fragrance...
I was actually always a fragrance bore. Perfumes were just “something that smells good” to me. I had no idea about fragrance notes; and even less about what I actually liked.

Then I smelled this perfume. At Breuninger, when the collection had just been freshly released. I tested my way through the various scents of the Private Collection and got stuck on Infinite Sky. One spray on the test strip and the combination of vanilla and pepper wouldn’t leave my mind. It quickly became clear: I need this perfume. Fortunately, there was a discount online, and for €85 I didn’t have to think long about whether this would be my faithful companion for the coming years.
Back then, my fragrance world was still small. Infinite Sky was (almost) my only perfume, so I wore it every day. It became my scent; we became one, so to speak. And I received countless compliments (especially from male friends and colleagues) for this perfume.

Anyone looking for something exclusive, something special, is exactly right here. Warm, embracing, with a subtle spicy note thanks to the pepper and a slightly smoky-leathery undertone. For me, this perfume is the epitome of femininity: Elegant, strong, and at the same time incredibly gentle.

Ropion is inspired by Guerlain's L'homme idéal and improves upon it. Clever and very spicy-warm, great vanilla.

Absolutely overwhelmed by this initially spicy, then gently embracing vanilla. Like a warm light in a snow-covered cabin.

A burst of pepper hits me and lets the spicy-warm vanilla with woody notes sink into coughing and sneezing for a long time: too bad!

Much drier and spicier than expected, rather masculine, but I like it quite a bit despite the "lack" of sweetness. Not a repurchase candidate.

With its peppery sharpness, I initially find this vanilla a bit unruly. But that settles down after a short time and the scent...
