A (short) trip to India
I've just tested this scent , attracted by the elegant and colourful paisley bottle, and I found the scent pleasant, well balanced and characterized by the spicy touch I expected and I usually love.
But I must remark that the sillage is quite short in comparison with the high price . It was like a short trip to India: just the emotion of a moment and the oriental magic is over!

Pungent Pink Pepper and Polygonum
It has a nice creamy and sweet Rose with the sunny fresh Mimosa in the heart, under the pungent spicy top edge of the pink pepper. But unfortunately the pink pepper and something green possibly the polygonum makes it a little bitter and sickly for me. You do get a tinge of earthy and resinous labdanum from the base but it's pretty subtle. Overall ultra feminine, But a little too feminine, sharp and overkill on the spice for me.

The inconspicuous sample tube and me
Once again, I felt like I had sniffed my way through a ton of samples. I took part in sharings, swapped with lots of dear perfumas and perfumos, often had great expectations, but once again there was no really great fragrance that just fits everything for me. Who doesn't know it? Some that we were particularly looking forward to are downright awful. Others are nice, pretty, yes. But nice is the little sister of you know who. Nothing that I would necessarily want to wear more often or even own. And then it suddenly happens. There's an inconspicuous little sample tube. It didn't even catch my eye when I unpacked it. And then I spray it and immediately think - oh, wow! What is that? Fantastic. Simply fantastic.

That's what happened with me and Etro Rajasthan. I smell a colorful bouquet of flowers. Whether it's roses and mimosa or perhaps freesia or something completely different doesn't matter to my nose at first. There is also a nice spiciness, like black tea. The pepper and the knotweed? I immediately think of Krigler's Camelia Extraordinaire 209, one of my favorite fragrances and also one of the most expensive perfumes I own. This one could be the L'Eau version of the Krigler perfume, if there was one. Because there are also similarities in the base, when the amber adds a subtle vanilla note. It starts off a little more tart than the Krigler, a little woodier. I suspect that ISO-E-Super plays a role here too. It's a fragrance that I'm often good with if it's not too dominant. For a few hours, I perceive a fine rose scent on a woody base. It alternates between tart and sweet, woody and sweet.

But suddenly something more reveals itself to me. All of a sudden, I am surrounded by pretty, vanilla scents that also seem very familiar to me, but not from Krigle's Extraordinaire Camelia. I discover similarities with the wonderful Fresh Sugar, which also skillfully plays with sweet and spicy notes, citrus aromas and flowers and develops an enchanting melange. Sugar, which I have worn and owned since I was 26 years old, is discontinued, like so many of my favorites. That's why I think it's all the nicer that Rajasthan is also in this category. Because my Sugar bottle won't last for so many more summers.

Yes, of course I treated myself to it. There was a bottle in the souk and I couldn't resist. That's how it is sometimes. With me and these inconspicuous sample tubes.
Thank you so much, dear Stinky Cat, for packing this for me as a goodie. Yes, this will be my new fragrance for this summer. It can go that fast.

Stay, please ...
...where the pepper grows !

With these impolite words I just ended an unpleasant, exhausting telephone conversation, which did not cause a spark of understanding in the conversation partner or rather conversation opponent.

No argument, no good reason, presented with angelic tongues, could ignite.
Then you also have to put a point behind it.

I think of Peter Cornelius worn down: I am ripe for the island. Overripe.

So I thoughtfully pack my little suitcase and travel with Rajasthan to the pepper islands, which brings us back to my final formula mentioned above.

And this island on which the lemons ripen - interwoven with the knotweed aroma is a beautiful place - above all nice far away !
Egyptian acacia and soft Turkish roses emphasize his distant exotic, - different time zones - a different mentality.
Warm cordiality radiates the cistus rose, bedded in musk.

A scent to " get out " - even if it is only mental.

I'm glad that I can treat myself to "little escapes" with my scents.

Summer night.
The honey sweetness of the acacia, the fluffy of the mimosa, the freshness of the rose. That sums it up for me.
Rajasthan lies fabulously soft and spicy on the skin on a balmy summer night. And if it is not there yet, it will come. The summer night.
Constantly light lemon freshness and a touch of chai latte waft over to me. For hours. And as a matter of course a silk scarf flutters in the wind, patterned with colorful and golden flower drops and barely noticeably touches the skin on my forearm. (Goose skin.)

There is so much cotton musk at start, that I didn't wait drydown . How it is connected with Rajasthan remains a mystery to me.
