Osmanthus-Rose
There are as many rose scents as there is sand by the sea. Either the perfumer sticks closely to the perfect object from nature or he interprets it in his own way to tease out some aspect of the rose. God knows what Roland Tentunian intended by adding cloves? Fly repellent?
At first, it smells like old-fashioned rose soap, then it becomes beautiful, but then the cloves attack and ruin the fun. I can't detect any apricot, maybe just a bit of osmanthus, which sometimes smells similar. Everything is well-intentioned, but the cloves are really only for people who also enjoy those strange Yogi teas. So, for me, the scent has been ruined at the base. Anyone with skin that doesn’t bring out the cloves can enjoy a lovely, osmanthus rose scent. Those of us, like me, who don’t have that skin must simply ignore it or look for another rose scent. The cloves do fade away soon enough, but in the meantime, they are just there for some reason.
Still, a pretty good scent that develops quite fine and elegant once again. It’s not bad!
