River´s Symphony
If you watch the video on the Floris London homepage, your inner compass turns to emotion. And in fact it gets much better with the scent on the skin.
Floris captures these special moments of dawn over the river. This scent taura, which embodies power and yet almost silence, peace and also steady progress.
River Dawn starts with the smell of the flowing (fresh) water that I observe on the banks, on its way over mossed stones. Smoothly polished stones whose wet scent combines with the green on them and above the surface of the water. Like the smell of an old spring in the woods.
Here the fragrance is a mixture of aquatics (without salt / sea or even Ambrox), moss and living earthiness. The river's DNA. And of its banks.
In addition, there are only chords of filigree, bright flowers. So tender and almost dancing in the wind, as if they were blown under my nose. They float on the calmness of the moment. Swinging to the murmur of the river. Perfecting the moment that will never and could never come again.
Celebrate transience.
The uniqueness of the moment.
With every minute of the morning at the river on my skin I become calmer and in a strange way almost oversensitized. Overactive. Notice every small chord and the perfect balance between thems. Everything has a deep, almost melancholic color.
The symphony of the river.
Just as the dawn and also the morning at the river doesn't last forever, Floris captures this special feeling for 6 hours. And the more the day takes possession and the more the magic of the morning seems to be driven away, the comforting sounds of sandalwood and musk find their way. They're not part of the river. And yet they fit in with nature's embrace and comfort.
See you next dawn.
By the banks of the river.
