A regal blend parfume
A bright, regal blend that brings together juicy fruits and florals with a timeless kind of elegance. It opens fresh and fruity — you get peach and pear right away — then it’s wrapped in a floral heart of rose, jasmine, and violet... so refined!
As it dries down, warm notes of sandalwood and amber come in, softening this summery breeze and leaving a smooth, velvety trail. It feels feminine and balanced. To me, it’s classic without being old-fashioned — easy to wear every day, and yeah, people will notice it!

Fresh, Sophisticated, and Youthful Fruity Floral
I like this – for someone else. My niece comes to mind. It is a very pretty, fruity floral, with the emphasis on the fruit. I do wish the fruit-to-floral ratio were the other way around as I am having a hard time distinguishing the floral notes. I faintly pick up the rose, lotv, and to a lesser degree, the ylang. The tuberose is completely missing on my skin. It does have a very fresh and clean feel to it, which I find a tad shampooey (sp?); youthful too, which is why I think this would work better for my niece than for me. Since she loves fragrances like Dylan Blue, Chanel Gardenia, Spring Flower, Burberry Blush, etc., which are in the same vein, this perfume would fit her tastes. I made a mental note to consider this as a future purchase for her after testing this sample.
By chance, (most likely ad tracking), I came across a barely used bottle of the edt. for a steal of a price and couldn't pass it up. This bottle does not have a paper label. The fragrance name is printed directly on the glass. The volume is 3.5 oz. and not the standard 3.3/3.4oz. Is this an older formula or a newer formula? I suspect the former, but I have no idea. If anyone knows, please fill me in.
Since it was already opened, I did try it and surprisingly found the performance quite good. That further makes me suspect that this is a prior formula than what is currently on the market today. I could be wrong about that as I have not smelled the most recent version, but with IFRA regulations being what they are in their never-ending quest to destroy every fragrance on the market, I suspect the latest formula might have been tinkered with. For those who own what is currently selling, I hope that is not the case.
Overall, this is a very pretty, sophisticated fragrance that's youthful, but not childish, and would work well both inside and outside a work environment, which is ideal for my young professional niece. I am sure she is going to love it.

Hats & Scones, Strawberries & Cream

Well, a fragrance can hardly be more British than “Bouquet de la Reine”! I’ll say this right away: Studying the fragrance pyramid - which is unavoidable with a blind purchase like this - completely misled me. It sounded to me as if I was almost prepared for something Mitsouko-like. But in fact, “Bouquet de la Reine” is very British, indeed! Cool, reserved, disciplined, elegant, slender.
It is truly an art to tame tuberose and ylang-ylang so that they appear almost translucent, as if their radiant shine is trapped in a greenhouse, through whose long-unwashed panes greenish light filters. And thus, the bouquet also has a somewhat Victorian feel - like some other Floris fragrances I have tested.

The bouquet starts for my nose almost entirely without flowers, but with a lot of green and a lot of fruit - specifically red, tart berries. Fruity is not really my favorite fragrance direction in perfumes, but here it evokes an image from long-gone summer days: standing amidst the large old bush, picking currants (red currants). When plucking the small ripe fruits, one or another bursts open and spreads its characteristically sweet-sour-bitter aroma in the sun-warmed air. Occasionally, one also crushes a currant leaf, and a fresh green note harmoniously joins in.

Only gradually do the sharp fruity-green notes fade, becoming softer, and now the floral bouquet, which lies delicately embedded beneath, comes to the fore. I can smell tuberose and ylang-ylang when I concentrate my nose on it - and indeed, a hint of peach also floats above. And yet, as I described at the beginning, it remains an English garden, where lily of the valley and bluebells bloom, not too tidy, but just like the fantastic English gardens, an incredible mix of tamed abundance, formal elements, and seemingly accidental disorder.

Just as slowly and consciously as the transition from the top note to the heart note, it gradually moves into the base. The softest light wood, a hint of wind-swept vanilla perfectly rounds off the bouquet towards the end.

I am thrilled with this fragrance - and I’m glad that I ordered plenty of samples with my order - because I am almost certain that there are still some other beauties to discover.

PS: And once again a (now a bit more cautious, you know, I think you know why) thanks to Susan, whose statement prompted me to spontaneously add this royal bouquet to my long-planned purchase of the wonderful “Lavender” from the same fragrance house!

Initial spray is refreshing and delicate but again the oakmoss in the drydown ruins it for me

Typical English women's fragrance and that means: lily of the valley, lots of florals, green, radiant, fresh, distinctive, woody and green base. Great!

I love when green scents transition smoothly into floral, creamy notes without harshness. This is masterfully done here. I don't find it soapy. Unfortunately, it's short-lived.

Beautiful fresh bright flowers sway over the young day,
Sweetly soft and wonderfully fine, an English morning can indeed be like this.

Very British indeed. For Lizzy's Golden Jubilee 2002, a modernized bouquet, there's something for everyone here. Pleasant but without any fanfare.

I don't smell tuberose. Floral, bright, fresh-showered vibes. In the base, it gets slightly unsweetened-vanilla and subtly woody. Beauty!
