A fleeting rose dream
"White Rose" reminds me of a soap I smelled in my childhood. It's a very distant memory, and a very fragile one at that - like the scent itself. I remember taking the soap reverently from the drawer of a dresser. It was wrapped in the finest tissue paper and lay in the drawer like a treasure. Still wrapped in the paper, it smelled simply heavenly!
During my research, I learned that the soap "White Rose" by Floris actually still exists today. "White Rose" Eau de Toilette smells just as heavenly and the slightly greenish liquid in the bottle evokes those memories in me.
But not just those... I close my eyes and immediately hear birds chirping and leaves rustling. The air is soft and warm. With "White Rose," I've been beamed into a park. It's not a park in England, no, this park is just a few miles from where I live. I'm sitting on a wrought iron bench and to the left and right of it are large rose bushes. When it's really quiet, you can hear bees and bumblebees. Green notes and white roses dominate the scenery. Light as the beat of a wing, gentle yet beguiling, the fragrance caresses me. "White Rose" is one of the most beautiful rose fragrances - and also one that is unfortunately quite fragile.
Already after a short time, the fragrance develops creamy, the sillage remains very subtle. Especially in the warm season, you can wear "White Rose" very well. The durability is on my dry skin but unfortunately low. Either you pimp it with the corresponding body lotion - but I haven't tried that - or you have to re-spray more often. I usually don't like that at all, but with "White Rose" it's not bad, because there's not much of a scent progression recognizable here. Nevertheless, I would wish for more durability, I find it a pity when something so beautiful evaporates so quickly. Whether the Eau de Parfum is more durable, will be difficult to find out, because the EdP was probably unfortunately discontinued.
"White Rose" has no fragrance development, he is and remains an elegant, fine, very light rose fragrance. At the same time, it is never intrusive, is never too much. Very stylish and elegant, simply a dream!
