He won't go into exile!..
... like his famous namesake. It would be a shame for him to languish on a lonely island! Because he smells delicious. He has a wonderfully old-fashioned quality and impresses with sophistication. From a perfume house that is an "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity," I expected nothing less. Yes, my expectations were even exceeded. It surprises right from the start with peppery-minty citrus fruits, as if they would grow on Elba. Dark, earthy roses join in, worthy of a "Josephine," the loyal soul of the exiled emperor. And a fresh breeze brings delicate, fine jasmine scents.
The woody-earthy base allows the nose to sniff depths that make "cellar" and "well" seem old and shallow. A play of light and shadow that couldn't be more beautiful. In terms of "fragrance family," it strikes me as a half-and-half blend of Chypre and Fougère, which alternates in waves. Mediterranean-spicy with a trend towards woody-earthy and vice versa. It excites and surprises me at the same time - affordable in ultra-good!
