Brindille means a small or thin twig or sprig. "Brindille" is an appropriate term for this scent. Despite I often do not like fragances which are dominated by white flowers I' m always trying to be fair. Of course there are a lot of exceptions for me concerning scents of this character like "Samsara" for instance.
If somebody likes lilly-of-the-valley or jasmine and hyazinths etc. in perfumes "Brindille" is a very decent white-flower-cologne receivable for a reasonable price.
"Brindille" is developing its full scent within a few minutes and though the sillage is weak there is not to complain about the longevity.
Immediatly is appearing a soft mixture of white flowers, jasmine is dominating. Out of this there is a slight light-green note an a hint of citrus. I cannot regocnize single flowers like rose or lilac. To be honest, I do not miss the for me in perfums obstrusively smelling lilac. Musc is restraining which is an advantage in case of "Brindille".
Should somebody be unsatisfied by the longevity or sillage of "Brindille", 250 ml are available for a very inexpensive price. Doubtlessly "Brindille" is a feminine scent. It also could be used fragranting rooms or potpourries.

Feminine and Nostalgic

Every year I fanatically wait for hyacinth bulbs, which I not only have in the garden but also in a bowl in the kitchen (even though they smell very intense). Often I walk by and the scent brings me so much joy that I have wondered what it would be like to wear the fragrance as a perfume. After some research, I came across Brindille, and with the help of the lovely Andrea, I was able to test the scent. One thing I must state immediately: Brindille is an old-school perfume, nostalgia in a bottle. Two notes dominate: hyacinth and lilac (I also look forward to lilac every year :o)) It has a pretty good sillage and on my skin, it comes across a bit liqueur-like, if you know what I mean. I count myself among those who are grateful to have found such treasures through this community. I will also buy Brindille in full size.

The Forbidden Garden

Just below my (not so small) property lies a huge, park-like garden covering more than 4000m2.
It is not permanently inhabited, but the owner's children (a successful pediatrician) apparently enjoy using the white bungalow and the swimming pool for parties during the warm season. Long ago, the doctor's mother and my mother were friends, and we were allowed to use the pool as well. However, as a young woman in the early/mid-90s, I always felt a bit like an intruder (or like a little, cheeky forest fairy) when I would sneak out early in the morning in my bikini, under our summer jasmine bush and the wild rose thicket, over the rotting fence, past the huge old trees, down across the lawn to the small but well-kept pool to take a few laps. Long ago! Both old ladies are no longer alive today...

And yet...when I see the bright lights down there from my bedroom window late at night and the music drifts up to me, I sometimes wonder if I should just go down, in a pretty colorful summer dress, with my hair down - the fences are still rotting - and mingle with the partygoers. Maybe someone would even offer me a drink...but then - upon closer inspection in the light of the bright lanterns - I would probably be asked to leave soon, as I simply don’t fit in with a group of lively young people at the age of nearly 50. So far, I haven’t dared...but the illusion remains!

“Brindille” is a scent that makes me envision a well-groomed early summer garden party with attractive, wealthy young people: floral-fresh, slightly creamy, with a subtle jasmine note, rather a bit distant-cool than sweet, definitely not intrusive.

I have since ordered the bottle online (as my sample seems to be gradually evaporating), but I probably will never dare to attend one of the mentioned parties of the rich neighbors...And it would likely be the usual party crowd anyway: a colorful mix of perfectly normal people, a bit tipsy and therefore not necessarily reserved-distant anymore. One sees that often enough in one’s own circle...

White Floral Dream

First of all, if it weren't for Parfumo and so many wonderful members, I would have never discovered this fine fragrance.
I had actually only purchased a sample of another scent and was kindly given "Brindille Extrait" as a sample, which I was immensely pleased about. I think it's great to be able to test perfumes this way that I can't find in every perfumery.
I only came across the brand Galimard through Parfumo at some point, but until now, I hadn't tested any fragrance from this brand.
As for the scent itself, I must say it is exactly to my taste. A dreamily beautiful floral fragrance. Jasmine and lilac dominate and constantly try to outdo each other. It is a warm and soft scent, but also has a certain lightness. It envelops me in a cocoon of peace, tranquility, and serenity.
The longevity is good, the sillage remains rather close to the skin.
