Last Summer
I bought it on a vacation trip in Grasse in 2018. It is floral and soft, the components are said to be of high quality, sounding valuable and elegant. The sweetness is moderate, the vanilla is not overwhelming, with notes of tuberose and lightly powdery iris. Not heavy, but understated, very suitable for the office. After a few minutes, the scent begins to improve significantly, and after a few more minutes, you are enveloped by a cloud of honey and fresh citrus fruits.
“L’Ete Dernier” is a very fitting title. Together with ylang-ylang and orange blossoms, it truly feels like the soft sand and gentle breeze of distant beaches - like the vacation of last summer. The scent of late summer, still so hot, but no longer exhausting, that you want to prolong. It has become my favorite in the Galimard collection.
