Green, Clean and Slightly Machine
This Nagel creature is a contemporary interpretation of a classic fougère, echoing the elegance of Creed’s Green Irish Tweed and the barbershop inclination of Platinum Égoïste Eau de Toilette, but with a sleeker and simplified edge. Where GIT leans on verbena and PE on lavender, H24 inserts a clary sage overdoes and a unique fixative molecule called Sclarene, a Givaudan captive (initially purposedly developed for H24), which emanates a machine-like ozonic warmth and likely contributes to its impressive longevity, exceeding 10+ hours on my skin.
Of course, if you don't like synthetics then this is not it, so perhaps look elsewhere?

The scent opens with a crisp herbal blast, quickly softened by narcissus and rosewood, before settling into a drydown of oakmoss and faint woods. In my opinion, unlike its Eau de Toilette predecessor, the EDP version tones down the metallic sharpness and introduces a more earthy character.

Performance is notably strong, also in terms of close but long-lasting projection (especially if you overspray a little bit...), making it suitable for all seasons. Scenario wise, you will be covered for most daytime activities.

ZONE H24 - ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK - BIOHAZARD
H24 has insane projection in the beginning. It's an ankle perfume, don't let it anywhere near your nose lest it gets scorched. The scent is herbal artificial, like a cleaning product. There's nothing subtle about it, it's a chemical weapon. The yellow and green colors are on point, they just needed to add a biohazard symbol. ZONE H24 - ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK - BIOHAZARD.

Here's another way to think about this fragrance. Do you know those yellow and green highlighter pens? If you add this neon energy to a normal herbal scent like Aqua Fahrenheit, you get H24. Yet another analogy would be drinking a herbal tincture through your nose.

A Little Modern, a Little Classy, and... Bananas?
H24 Eau de Parfum is, in essence, all you would need for an office fragrance. It's clean, it's simple, it's pleasant, and it just carries that professional vibe with ease. It also carries a distinct banana-reminiscent scent, which took me a bit by surprise.

There's not much to dissect here, as I've already stated that it's a pretty simple fragrance. It basically opens with a strong herbaceous, musky, fresh clary sage with some floral components reminding of tea, joined by a sweet and intensely heady narcissus that is largely responsible of the banana association. There are clear green undertones present too, almost vegetal-like, but I also get a synthetic accord which I'm less happy to see. However, it's not exactly your usual designer-ish synthetic accord. Here, it's more of a warm, metallic touch attributed to Sclarene, showing hints of camphor as well. That gives H24 Eau de Parfum a very modern aura, so to say. It is then contrasted with a little bit of oakmoss on top of slightly spicy and warm rosewood which manage to also incorporate a whisper of vintage, more classic compositions. Pretty well done, to be fair. There's plenty other offerings out there that have tried this modern + classy combo, yet very few succeeded. H24 Eau de Parfum, while clearly leaning on the modern side, does manage to do it right.

You don't have to worry about H24 Eau de Parfum not lasting you through a full day in the office. Performance is quite good, for me stretching it to 12 hours in longevity, while projection was satisfactory, getting a solid first 2 hours of moderate projection, softening afterwards up until a skin scent around hour 5 approximately.

My first thought went straight to the office when smelling H24 Eau de Parfum, but it could just as well make for a daily driver running any other errands. Although maybe the EDT, H24 Eau de Toilette, would be the intended iteration for that, while the EDP, being a little sweeter and more intense in comparison (from what I've heard), is for more special days at the office. Regardless, extremely versatile scent.

Now, I see there's quite a few people who find this very synthetic or can't stand that tiny metallic undertone. Personally, if there is something to find a little challenging here it would be the intense narcissus/banana-like blast in the opening, which I don't find challenging in any way, anyways. It's just a pleasant, linear, modern fragrance which earns my respect for not following the trends of delivering just another amberwood sludge. It's not groundbreaking, it's not incredible perfumery, but it isn't trying to be. Yet it is fairly pricey, asking for up to €150 if you go for the big bottles. So strictly for office wear, it is a little hard to recommend. As an everyday, signature scent, it might be justifiable for some.

Metallic Modern Greenery
I came here to learn about green perfumes and that’s exactly what I got and learnt from the H24 series. It unapologetically bursts with strong, fresh greenness, mixed with the sclarene note that contributes to a metallic scent, making it smell like something from a modern botanical garden.

Even with a rookie nose like mine, this is the most unique scent I’ve sniffed recently. However, I’ve discovered that a scratchy, deep woody base isn’t really up my alley. Although, to be fair, the rosewood here isn’t that woody and is at least passable for my personal scent profile.

There’s nothing remotely banana-like in the scent, at least nothing resembling the natural form. If you’re referring to that artificial banana flavouring found in candies or drinks, I might understand the association.

Overall, another great scent from Hermès but I’m shocked by how underrated this lineup is.

Fruity fresh opening, wet dirt and grass dry down
This fragrance has a beautiful fresh fruity opening, kind reminds me of Erba Pura’s “ boyfriend”. Fresh berry like. The mid is a bit green notes mix with the sweet fresh fruit, not bad at all. But the kicker is the dry down, smells medicinal, kinda like the bitter Chinese herb medicine, in a negative way. After about 30 minutes, the fresh fruity note is completely gone on my skin. Left with a wet dirt mix with wet grassy note, doesn’t smell clean or pleasant at all. The longevity of this fragrance is up there, luckily the dry down doesn’t project much. I would hate to smell like a dirty wet mop. Very disappointed.
For anyone like the H24 DNA, still recommend to try it on skin first before buying.

Clary sage overload + narcissus MIGHT give the green bananas impression. Cedar + moss base. Good long-lasting freshie fougere.

Sweet banana peel-like opening, with a fresh, clean, herbaceous continuance. Honeyed florals, mild mossy/damp woodiness; faint metallic edge

I would say 90% the same - just a bit denser and maybe a little greener. I actually like the airy nature of the edt more
