Sweet Home Hilde Soliani Profumi 2017

Sweet home is a simple, straightforward kind of gourmand - Hilde Soliani really is among the very best at this genre. It's as sweet as the same suggests, though thankfully not too heavy. No marrons glacés unless I really try hard to smell them, but sure, when I do, I buy it as a concept. But a lot more than that there's sugar, vanilla and above all a good dose of butter. That buttery aspect is especially prominent in the opening, and it makes it truly smell like a realistic pastry, which is simply delicious when the weather's cold enough and I'm in the right mood, but can border on rancid when the conditions aren't quite right. I like it a lot and especially loved to wear it to bad in the week or so I've been sampling it, but I don't need more now that my sample is gone.
