A strong release from HDP

I know Julien Rasquinet´s creations since a long time and I think he puts a lot of passion and thought in the scents. This is no exception and the blood orange combined with the oriental aspect of the high quality rose, not the sweet drugstore type but the high quality - I would say Turkish - are making a very interesting mix.

I think this would go great with a sport casual outfit, in the warmer days but also in the late autumn, for colder days I do not see it strong enough. The leather is not too strong, to disturb you if you do not leathery scents too much. And that beautiful rose after a while in drydown becomes very classy and will last long too.

Naughty but nice

This is one of my top 5 fragrances. This little bottle has been taken on every vacation and business trip I've gone on in the past three years.

An opening salvo of juicy, lustful blood orange is made carnal - pornographic even - by saffron, itself exotic, wanton and growling. This duo is joined by a sweet, best heady rose note. Leather and patchouli, the bad girls and dirty boys of the fragrance world are your bed partners in the base notes. To me, this is an indolic fragrance, inherently lascivious, powerful, seductive and inviting.

I've heard people say it's not office friendly. Pshaw! Flaunt it, love it, ooze sex, after all, sans l'amour il n'y a que la mort.

The fragrance was a blind purchase, leather and rose, that can only be good, I thought. But unfortunately, the fragrance could not convince me.

At the beginning he comes with me very synthetic, then develops a bit of fruit, which I assign to the blood orange, but without the pyramid would not have recognized determined. Then he remains synthetic-undefinable-fresh-floral. Reminds with very strongly of the smell of washing stuff for men from the drugstore. Rose I can not perceive at all and the leather holds back to my sensation also arg. On the skin he makes himself definitv better than on the tester. Is quite consistent and quite close to the body, durability I would classify as above average. This is the first fragrance from the manufacturer that I have smelled. The company philosophy read quite exciting, but the fragrance is in my nose pretty uniform and simple and not as complex as I had hoped.

A really great fragrance from forgotten times....

I must confess, I personally do not understand such a low rating for this dreamy fragrance. Of course, everything is subjective. My subjective attitude to the fragrance I have already disclosed - dreamlike!
I'm not a big rose fragrance fan, but here I find this accord necessary to let it shine so. The blood orange and saffron underline the rose so tangy-juicy and spicy, that is already brilliant. The fragrance gets depth and weight from the patchouli and the leather. The leather, however, keeps a very low profile. The fragrance lasts on my skin up to 9 hours and is certainly 6 hours also perceptible by my environment.
The fragrance seems as if it was created FOR earlier times. Or at least IN earlier times were created. Where the man still had to be scratchy and dirty, but allowed himself tangy blood orange juice and brought roses to his sweetheart, because there was also a little cavalier in him. He stands to be masculine, but also modern.
