Confusing Prolix
I decided on Prolixe because it had the notes of tobacco and oud, but the reality was a somewhat fruity start between pink and purple and a dark and seductive evolution. Complex and confusing is not easy to like at first sight.
Prolixe is something dark, like a shadow that appears and disappears throughout use. It is developed flat in two stages: opening and drydown.
Can detect the notes as hint of saffron, cardamom, olibanum, rose and oud with tobacco.
Opening with ginger, olibanum and deep rose. The rose will be present until the end, fading little by little to make way for patchouli and tobacco and oud.
It lasts a long time on my skin... but a long time. More than 8 hours in my skin. This projects very well.
I don't think it's unisex...but in my girlfriend I would like to smell it.
Fabulous fragrance but too expensive.

Purple velvet
On my skin at no time would I have said that it contains fruits. It smells like purple velvet, some kind of fabric that glides if that makes sense. The saffron (like the toaste saffron) gives it a floral touch without exaggeration that it blends very well with the patchouli and the woods, givint it a hidden lunar side. It is a persistent, long-lasting fragrance that does not change much throughout its life. I find it very feminine, but maybe it reminds me of someone. Obviously anyone can use it.

Confidential

Confidential would fit the scent very well.. it somehow
creates an intimate aura, also somewhat erotic-sensual.
The concentrated fruit power at the beginning, mainly smelling of blackcurrant, instantly lifts the mood and creates a first wow! Almost reflexively, I think of Aqaysos, even without the concentrated musk, which I would really like in Aqaysos. Not fruit tea, no gummy candies or fruit yogurt, but very dark, highly aromatic, plump, and very dense.
Dark spices, slightly sweet with a hint of sharpness provide a well-measured balance. Even though the slight base sweetness of Irreverent seems familiar to me and my skepticism arises with three fragrances released simultaneously (in general), it still scores high. I believe this
is mainly due to the velvety leather contributing a very adult sweetness and especially spiciness, not unlike the suede from YSL. The subtle and very light animalic note suits it excellently!
Only late in the base do dry woods reveal themselves to me, enriching the scent with yet another new facet, so the nose never gets bored with any phase. I love such developments!
Sometimes the dark sides of Prolixe remind me of oud, but I don't think there's any in it, not important.
For me, by far the most beautiful scent of the three newcomers, one of the most beautiful and especially most extraordinary fragrances from Histoires overall.
Longevity and sillage are superb, so one should keep the index finger under control, otherwise, one might ruin the fragrance experience and/or get too much. This scent fits wonderfully into the cooler seasons and is more suited for the evening.

Everyday suitability: 6/10
Feel-good factor: 9/10
Wow effect: 9/10
Price/performance: 6/10
Idea + implementation: 9/10
Packaging/bottling: 10/10

Temptation
I can resist everything except temptation (Oscar Wilde)
.
And it was worth the attempt. Black bottle and then 2 contradictory words: intimate and expansive. Very charming. I had to scratch my head because the two words seem somewhat opposite to me. But maybe not at all, and they fit together like a glove.
The opening of "En Aparté - Prolixe" is intensely sour, bitter, and sweet-sparkling. It almost shakes me, but makes my eyes sparkle. Like effervescent powder sprinkled on the tongue, mouth closed, and let it foam in the mouth. Fruity and sour, delicious! Just don’t cough or breathe too briefly, so it doesn’t go up the nose, otherwise... whoa, whoa, whoa. Grapefruit dipped in sugar and bitten into. This taste of bitter and sweet is indescribable. Blackcurrant is sour-fruity. My blackcurrants in the garden are still quite sour, although they are already a deep black, but still quite crunchy. The fruits of the top note all have the same beginning. Sour-sparkling and becoming sweet. Sweet is by no means the same fruit-sweet as in, for example, LVeB, but rather like fruits that are not yet fully ripe.
Unfortunately, this circus doesn’t last long and it quiets down. The sourness bids farewell, but lingers for a long time. Just not as strong as at the beginning.
A linen pouch full of green, fresh cardamom, delicate saffron threads, and freshly plucked orange blossoms, rubbing against each other in the pouch and smelling wonderfully of spice market, give my nose an almost balsamic kick. Excited nasal mucous membranes are calmed, almost caressed. And then it gets dark. Patchouli and labdanum smell together like sweet earth spread out on a wooden table.
A rough leather rag that wipes everything off the table. Scents that somehow don’t fit at all and yet are so beautifully combined. Yes, this scent is intimate, just for me or my loved one. Expansive due to the many fragrance notes, about which one could surely report one thing or another.
It was worth the temptation and is highly recommended.

Long-winded?
No, not really.

Longevity & sillage are okay to good but nothing more.
"Stimulating" would have been a better title, as that's exactly how the fragrance feels to me.

Fruity, slightly sweet, and refreshing. Every whiff of this scent creates space in my mind. A very liberating and revitalizing feeling.

The fragrance comes across rather linear and changes little. Initially more of a fruit cocktail, then more fruity rose & oud.

The fruits are hardly identifiable. After some comments mentioning blackcurrant, I can make an association. On my own, I would struggle to smell that.

As the freshness of the top notes fades, a lovely, slightly fruity rose takes over. In the background, oud/light tobacco becomes increasingly present. However, these never assert themselves in a penetrating way.

Shortly after application, the sillage is indeed noticeable at 3m. This soon settles down, and the fragrance becomes increasingly close to the body. I find this very pleasant with Prolixe. Someone else described the scent as "intimate." I wouldn't go that far, but I can certainly understand the description.

The longevity is good, even though it’s not a loud fragrance. Close to the skin, I had a solid 7-8 hours, and my clothes still smelled freshly sprayed the next day. Mmmm fresh and stimulating without reminding me of laundry freshness or room fragrance - I like!

What I like less is the price point. I absolutely cannot understand it for a fragrance that is just "okay to good." If it ever goes on sale, I might even consider getting it as a "nice to have." In my perception, it's more for days when I want to feel good and less about impressing others.

Prolixe also went over well with my better half. But here too, the feedback was that there are other "must buys."

It's definitely worth testing, and so far, I am very taken with Histoires des Parfums, and the next sample is already on the way ;)

First dark sour fruit, then rose, and finally the scent fades with woods, patchouli & leather hints at a moderate sweetness. Unique, but good.

1. Spicy cardamom, clear, fresh + dry cinnamon. 2. Smoky rose + fruity oud. 3. Ultimately rose with oud....yawn.

Sour fruity notes contrasted with sweet flowers, powdery spices on a base of earthy-woody notes. Unique but wearable.

Dill herb & coconut cream, hinted leather with saffron, delicately fruity & smoky. Woody half-gourmand, bold blend.

In the back of her Bentley Continental, Lady Prolixe sipped a fruit cocktail and enjoyed the scent of leather seats and wooden accents.

Fruity notes combined with spicy cardamom remind me of sweet and sour pickles and Silesian cuisine. That's how
niche is done, great!

Fruity rose at the start! Some spices join in. Later, the oud comes around. Solid but nothing new!

At first too squeaky, artificial fruity, somehow also bitter. Synthetic in an unpleasant, piercing way. Later more pleasant, "vanilla-like".

Elegant, sensual, suitable for all year round. Great performance, wonderful evolution. Lighter and more bitter than Tabac Rose.

Strong, slightly animalistic sandalwood scent with a hint of fruity sweetness. Pleasant, but can be a bit overpowering over time.
