A clean white floral
Il Profvmo Gardenia Royal, is a beautiful white floral blend, similar in style and composition to Estee Lauder's Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia. I love the both of them equally.

Although fresh and flowery, it has a slightly aggressive bite. In the opening especially, Gardenia Royal is quite loud and sharp. The overall scent is soapy and clean, rather than naturally green and dewy.

The gardenia, tuberose and jasmine create a smooth, innocent bouquet, however the peony adds more definition by giving it a slightly sour quality. I usually detest peony, however when blended skilfully and present in small doses, it can be just as majestic as a red rose.

Some reviewers have found this fragrance cloying and heavy. My only word of advice would be to apply Gardenia Royal with a light hand. I'm wearing just one spray right now, and I find the projection pleasant as is.

The musk in the heart and drydown makes Gardenia Royal smell a little bit like laundry powder. It's not necessarily unpleasant, and I admittedly like the way it smells, however some people may find it off-putting. It's not technically gardenia in this composition, and many have noted this too. I find it more clean and simplistic with a blend of indistinguishable white florals.

Gardenia Royal proved to be a wonderful discovery for me. It's what I reach for when I want something clean yet noticeable. It compliments my skin perfectly and I feel very comfortable wearing it. I highly recommend.

Gardenia Trilogy Part 2/The Creamy Gardenia
Gardenia Royal starts softly, almost restrained. A light hint of gardenias and jasmine, delicate and beautiful. No roaring like with Black Gardenia. No advertising gimmicks. I waited to see what would come, and it did. Gardenia Royal gets better and better, present but never loud. Well woven with warm musk, fine peony, and a touch of intoxicating tuberose. Gardenia Royal smells to me like an expensive body cream, with the gardenia in charge. Even with a little bit of sillage, but without a punch.

The Gardenia takes the lead here, followed by Tuberose
When I heard that this fragrance was available at the Parfümerie Haase in Berlin, I was a bit skeptical, as many gardenia scents usually contain tuberose.
I have some issues with tuberose, as it tends to dominate strongly and unfortunately, you can only faintly detect the gardenia. For example, (Truth or Dare or Private Collection Estee Lauder).
However, upon spraying, I was very positively surprised, as the tuberose scent is "softly" present.
The perfume smells very creamy, soft, not extroverted like Gardenia by Elizabeth Taylor.
(This is not meant as criticism, as there are days when I want to smell striking).
Overall, I find the perfume very pleasant, modern, and elegant. I agree with the comment from Medusa00.

Spring and Summer Garden
First of all, thank you to Süchtig for the generous sample.

GR is a spring and summer fragrance for me. It would smell like a garden where all the spring and summer flowers are opening their blooms at the same time. Floral, lightly fresh, slightly sweet, bees and bumblebees buzzing around. However, one must be careful not to be mistaken for a pollen-bearing flower, that could get uncomfortable...

I find GR beautiful. However, I do miss something that would give the fragrance depth. Something woody, perhaps sandalwood, or tonka bean; vanilla would be too much. In any case, it shouldn't be too strong, just a hint of it, just to fix the character of the fragrance. The musk from the base, which is supposed to take on this task, I cannot detect.

Sillage (I dabbed) is initially quite strong; I am indulging in a sea of flowers, but within 10 minutes it becomes close to the body and then truly wearable and acceptable to the environment. Longevity is 5 - 6 hours. GR simply becomes weaker during this time, does not change, and in the end is only recognizable with great effort.

For me, GR belongs to the fragrances that I enjoy wearing for a day, only to put them back in the closet for weeks. Indulging in it for a day and the next day it is too much for me. "Iris Nobile" is also a candidate for me. Thus, a "must-have" is eliminated. With the generous sample from Süchtig, I will manage for a while.

Everything that’s in there
Yes, that's exactly how it is. You can really only say about this fragrance that the pyramid is correct.
But you could also swap and shift the notes a bit.

At the beginning, there was the tuberose. It came and did not leave again.
Gardenia, peony, and jasmine are also present. Sometimes they try to push forward. But the tuberose fights for its place, after all, it is big and strong.
At some point, the flowers get along and indulge in floral delights throughout the entire fragrance journey.

So it is a very floral scent. Although I usually like such fragrances, Gardenia Royal is a bit too intensely floral for me.
The musk is also there, quite late, when the fragrance has finally softened.

The sillage is not as strong as one might think.
It is still a rather nice fragrance, but nothing special.

A lot of gardenia, very intense and floral, fresh at first. A bit too much and too "auntie" for me, but I guess that's just gardenia.
