Cool Wave ~

6:30 AM, before work, a quick 2 hours in the calorie disco. It's spring and you're hit by bikini fear. You laboriously drag yourself up the stairs, that's actually enough for today. But come on, what the heck, "No pain, no gain"! You greet the sleepy trainer and pass by the bicep plantation. The same Arnies are there every day, with muscles of steel - hmm, or anabolic steroids??? And then you notice it!!! What - or better said - who smells so bad here? Aha, an outsider, type Heavy Metal fan. Normally, this endangered species is cool, funny, particularly masculine, and by no means smells bad. But this one... Sure, you sweat when you exercise, and whether a shower before working out makes sense is debatable, but this stench is unbearable. Is it the sweaty flip-flops he’s wearing or his favorite Slipknot cut-off shirt from Bangladesh, which is particularly absorbent? And that's how it smells where he has been: heavy! Whatever. Quick, get out of here! Off to the locker room, a quick chat with Gabi, whose pink headband goes particularly well with her calf-free leggings, over which her semi-transparent, leopard-spotted sports shirt falls loosely. Respect for this enchanting, fairy-like combo!!! Now, let’s go, change, and quickly apply your beloved Sport Water by Jilli and dive into the crowd.
Heavenly, like freshly showered, completely unsweet, floral-soft with a subtle citrus note and pleasantly light woody base. As if you’re diving into crystal blue water. A compliment magnet with top durability and good sillage, even for a small budget! A great scent that is always and everywhere present and suitable. Let the others have their mustiness, you smell like a cool wave from the ocean :-).

Liquid Cheerfulness

I have to say or rather write something about this scent, which is actually rather unspectacular for me.
I became aware of it in my former regular forum through a very enthusiastic fellow writer who mentioned it repeatedly.
Last summer, I sniffed it and bought it almost in one go. And this little everyday scent outshines all my more expensive niche fragrances by far when it comes to positive comments, whether it's when I walk out of an office door and a patient walks in, surprised, sniffing and telling the secretary that it smells wonderful, or the delighted breaths from colleagues/acquaintances.

As for the scent itself - I can pick out all the notes listed here. A small hint of amber adds to it; it doesn't quite fit with a fresh scent, but somehow makes it interesting. Fresh, fruity, floral, and then a very light dark amber note in the background. This might slightly enhance its longevity.

It's primarily a young-girl scent, but it doesn't matter... anyone can really wear it.

For me, it's an absolute warm-weather scent, lively and cheerful, without being trivial.
Very nice.

The Epitome of Freshly Washed Laundry

Sport Water smells so perfectly clean to me, like freshly washed white laundry in the wind under a blue sky, as rarely as any other perfume. Freshly washed, no more and no less, but with such perfection, it is truly astonishing! And it is once again an example that scents can develop differently on the skin than on the test strip, because on the paper it smelled clean and fresh at first, but then reminded me more of a mild aftershave, thus having a somewhat masculine, slightly nondescript aura.
On my skin, the scent develops much more lovingly, although it still remains fresh and herbaceous, but significantly softer and powdery than expected. Fresh lemon - rather lemon peel, in mineral water, something like that has already been mentioned and that is exactly what I perceive at first. Fresh, sparkling, somewhat ozonic, not a bit synthetic citrus thankfully and rather unfruity, but very natural and simply herbally clean with a hint of cotton... That’s how the color white smells to me! A few minutes later, it becomes softly floral, I can't pinpoint individual components, later it gets slightly woody, a few edges and corners are added, though only a few, just enough to make the linear cleanliness a bit more interesting. Some would call it unspectacular, I call it consistent, the scent simply stays true to its theme. - Years ago, I used Pure for a long time, precisely because of this elegant, well-groomed clean freshness, and both fragrances share that. Sport Water, however, is gentler, less intrusive, almost cuter, with a tiny hint of aquatic. Showering after sports and then wrapping myself in freshly washed white bed linen with this scent is already a perfect feel-good moment...
Actually, I perceive Sport Water more as a summer candidate, but when I associate it with the color white, I actually find it not so far-fetched in winter, white snow has that pure quality too, and when you can’t decide in the morning what you feel like, THIS one always works! Because despite everything, it doesn’t come across as cool or aloof to me, but rather friendly... It also pairs wonderfully with all kinds of fabric softeners (as long as they don’t contain vanilla).

Feel-Good Scent

From this bottle comes a very likable floral and woody freshness with depth. The "Sport" and "Water" in the name, along with the blue color of the perfume, try to force the scent into the sporty corner, but it doesn’t belong there for my nose at all. For me, it is not a genre scent, but a very successful composition for occasions when you want to smell fresh and well-groomed. Not too intrusive, not too strong, but bright and buoyant, yet unmistakable. For me, it is a feel-good scent, almost like aromatherapy. I breathe it in, and suddenly my mood brightens and I become more balanced.

Jil Sander Sport Water starts citrus-fruity with yuzu and green peach leaves. Floral notes of jasmine and rose follow, coming across very delicate and dewy fresh. The tea brings in the exciting component of bright woodiness. Together with the flowers and fruit notes, the scent remains very clear and fresh and lightly aromatic bitter. Amber and ambrette give it depth and longevity, making it sensual and feminine.

It is certainly not a big going-out scent, but very nice for everyday and leisure. And also for difficult weather: recently, on a warm day, it was very humid. The clouds hung so low that you could almost touch them with your hands. The impending thunderstorm was already detectable, and breathing was becoming difficult with this air pressure. I stood perplexed in front of my fragrance bar: what should I wear? Sweet and heavy scents were out of the question; the thought made me feel almost sick. Even the hesperides made me nauseous due to too much citrus freshness and dryness in this humid air. But Jil Sander Sport Water worked. And how it worked! It was a dream to wear in that weather.

It was launched as a limited edition, but it seems to have carved out a permanent spot. I think that's great; it deserves it!

Waves of the Atlantic

This light, fresh, and aquatic-sporty fragrance, in my opinion, somewhat connects to the pure and clear times of Jil Sander scents from the 80s and early 90s, which I REALLY liked (the years and the fragrances...).

The opening is clear and aquatically fresh, and I associate it with a jump into the clear wild Atlantic waves on a hot day - Yuzu is clearly recognizable and remains in its pure form for a good hour. Then, a delicate floral veil slowly creeps in, but not sweet, rather more herb-fresh. The supposedly amber base does not show itself to me; after about 3 hours, the fragrance veil has completely vanished. This does not bother me, as I primarily expect spontaneous freshness from a "sport water." The name of the fragrance is indeed fitting, as it is practically an ideal sport scent that does not disturb others but ensures that you do not feel completely drained. Very pleasant; by the way, I would not classify it as a women's fragrance, but rather think that I would also like its herbaceous note on men very much.
