The Shyest of the Family?

Juicy Couture is a brand that seems to be in harmony with my skin. I often receive compliments on the fragrances, and people can still smell them even when I can no longer perceive them. So far, I have liked every variant. Viva La Juicy Gold Couture is caramel-like, Viva La Juicy Noir is berry-vanilla, the regular Viva La Juicy Eau de Parfum is fruity, Viva La Juicy Bowdacious is tropical-creamy, and Glace is powdery-sweet. However, the finest one I know from the line does not last particularly well, at least for my nose. I have the same issue with its siblings. As constant re-spray candidates, they would be too expensive for me, which is why I am also glad for the Souk or would otherwise look for cheaper, similar perfumes in the long run.

Fruity Sorbet

First of all, the bottle is hard to beat in terms of cuteness. I don't even know where to start: with the fluffy feather pom-pom adorned with a rose and satin ribbon, the iridescent glass that looks like pure glitter icing, or the (this time slightly different) JC emblem that decorates the front in pale pink enamel with small pink rhinestones?
The bottle has something - despite (or perhaps because of) the Barbie-esque overkill.

The fragrance shines in classic Juicy style with fruity top notes. It absolutely has something of fruit sorbet in both the top and heart notes, which I find great because as a classic sweet tooth, I'm always happy to hop on the dessert train.

It may be that I don't fully grasp the theme of this fragrance. Is it about ice cream, sorbet, icing, or is glacé simply a wild fusion of everything? Because looking into the English-German dictionary, glacé (with the French spelling) means "candied" or "with icing," whereas glacé in French means "frozen."

I tend more towards the sweet cold dish than the icing. With the later arriving vanilla, it indeed has a bit of a dessert quality. Additionally, it is a bit sweeter than the original Viva La Juicy, and due to the reduced floral components that were much more present in the original, it almost leans towards the gourmand direction... But only almost. In the drydown, it has a slightly herbal note, which creates a nice contrast to all the sweet components.

The fragrance is nice and good, but if it weren't for the relatively weak longevity. The scent completely dissipates after about 2 hours. This performance would just about be acceptable for an Eau de Toilette, but not for an Eau de Parfum! In contrast to the cool theme of the fragrance, this development is definitely not cool. If I want something longer-lasting, I would rather reach for the original, Gold Couture, or Noir.

I see this version of Viva La Juicy as a sweeter, iced version of the original. Somehow, "she" is for me the bubbly little sister who is cute but doesn't show much commitment in everyday life and has her own quirks. (Oh, I've found the scented equivalent of my own person, how weird is that?)
In my opinion, this is one of the most interesting flankers of the Viva La Juicy line. I forgive the weak performance because I like the scent so much. That's okay, it just means I have to reapply more often.
I already know that Glacé will be one of my favorites for spring.
