Viva La Juicy Le Bubbly Juicy Couture 2020

This is definitely recognizable as a VLJ flanker, it has a lot of the Juicy DNA, but it's sweeter and fruitier than the original. I have directly compared it with VLJ Noir, and Le Bubbly is even more gourmand and less floral than that one, which already is a warmer and sweeter version of VLJ.
This is very strong on the praline base, with some sparkling fruit notes on top and just a hint of white flowers to tie them together. Like the name promises, it has a fizzy scent texture. I don't think that this smells like champagne or any kind of sparkling wine at all though. Maybe like Robby Bubble, the alcohol free party drink for kids, or just like a soda. It's bubbly, but it doesn't have the dry note a real champagne has. It just smells like sugared berries and mandarins with a non-boozy sparkle.

As a fan of sweet gourmands I find this nice and pleasant, but VLJ Noir is a better balanced fragrance to my nose. I think this would have benefited from a more realistic champagne note or even a stronger blood orange. A slightly bittersweet, effervescent accent like that would have made it more original and truer to the name.

This smells like something a suburban mom in the late '00s-early '10s would wear. She drives a minivan with the DVD player always running, she has definitely shared Minion memes on Facebook, she's been in more than a few arguments with the referees at one of her kids' soccer games, she's about to turn, in her words, "forty and fabulous", and she's wearing this to the Pampered Chef party she's hosting just so she can show off her new remodeled kitchen to make the other PTA moms jealous. It's a sweet, slightly warm floral with a nice touch of champagne. It smells good, don't get me wrong, I just feel like mommy to Brayden, Kayden, and McKynzleigh in this.

The color scheme of the bottle as well as the color of the liquid is pink, which appears sweet and girlish; some might even say "kitsch-barbie-like." The pink is a nice change from the honey-golden color that other Juices have. The bottle is very lovingly designed with the rising bubbles. In hand, the bottle looks even better than in photos. The vibes I get from this bottle are clearly "fun" and "party mood."
The promo image for this perfume shows a model sitting alone in a cocktail dress, laughing with a stem glass. JC kindly provides us with cheerful inspirations for a glamorous weekend.

The scent is interesting because the blood orange stands out clearly with its sparkling zest. Overall, the fragrance is a bit more citrusy and fresher than other VLJs.
I particularly like the sweet notes of vanilla orchid in the heart and the praline in the base... Truly a very delicious combination. The VLJ DNA definitely comes through.
What confuses me is that the theme of the flanker is supposed to be "sparkling champagne"... I can agree with "sparkling" due to the zesty notes, but the promised champagne note is not present for me. It would have been cool to have a scent with a champagne note in my collection. Unfortunately, those looking for a full champagne glass will be disappointed here.
A champagne glass without champagne? Honestly, I expected a bit more here.

JC releases a new flanker of VLJ almost every year. Personally, I feel that the exploration of creative possibilities for reinterpretations of this line is slowly reaching its limits. I realize that this is quite sharp-tongued for a "pink-ruffle-plush-fan" like me, but it would not be correct to lie in my review just because I like the original.

What is also a bit sobering is the limited longevity of significantly less than three hours, during which the scent is perceptible. On me, the scent does not last as long as the original, which I can still smell on my clothes after several days.

If you own the original, this flanker is absolutely not a must-have unless you are a passionate collector like I am.

The fragrance comes in an incredibly sweet bottle and shines mostly in pink - for me, this was the decisive incentive to purchase.
Unfortunately, the champagne note is completely missing; I only perceive the orange very strongly, maybe a bit of vanilla and something floral in the heart and base notes. The scent is okay, fruity, friendly, and uplifting, but the sparkle is simply not there.
I had hoped to find an alternative to my beloved Strawberries & Champagne from VS, but unfortunately, this fragrance is not it.

Addendum: Unfortunately, the scent did not stay in my memory even after a longer time, which usually happens more often with others. Still, having tested it again, I must say it works perfectly fine for a casual wear.

I understand the inspiration, but unfortunately, you can only smell it if you concentrate on it; it's not quite so "on the nose." To be honest, I find it more beautiful and appealing than the original VLJ. I perceive it as a bit younger and literally bubblier.

On the skin, it quickly takes on the typical JC DNA, which is a plus if you like it; if not, better keep your hands off.
