Interesting to say the least

First of all I'm very impressed with the fact that this popular teen brand has taken a massive leap of faith when they created Peace, Love and Juicy Couture. It doesn't take a scientist to see that this is perhaps not the most popular fragrance around, however the creativity behind the risk is what impresses me the most.

Peace, Love and Juicy Couture is very green and musky. It has a somewhat dirty quality, so far removed from the juicy, fruity and sweet fragrances Juicy Couture is known for. Despite its earthiness, it has a soapy quality too which smells a little metallic on my skin.

There's an element of freshness that I rather enjoy, however I can't seem to get past the heavy muskiness. The freshly mowed grass accord, although pleasing on paper, doesn't project too well on the skin.

Some may say that Peace, Love and Juicy Couture smells a little masculine, and I'd have to agree. It has quite an interesting herbaceousness along with its interesting scent pyramid. I can certainly smell the lemon, apple, honeysuckle, linden blossom, patchouli and musk.

Peace, Love and Juicy Couture lasts rather well on the skin, and the sillage, although not overpowering is moderate to strong. The composition itself is charmingly unique and refreshing, so I have no qualms in suggesting this fragrance for Spring or Autumn. In some ways this fragrance may appeal to those older consumers rather than the teens this time around.

No Pink Velour Hoodies Allowed!

I am not at all surprised that Juicy Couture PEACE, LOVE and JUICY COUTURE has been a market flop: this is NOTHING like the previous JC perfumes! Although it comes in the same sort of over-the-top bottle, this fragrance may as well have been launched by Estee Lauder--that's how different and unexpected it must seem to anyone with experience with the other Juicy Couture creations.

Staid and stern, sober and serious, PEACE, LOVE & JUICY COUTURE could never, ever be worn by someone who sports pink velour hoodies! To my nose, this floral green ihnhabits the same olfactory neighborhood as Gucci ENVY, and the composition is equally powerful, with the same headache potential if oversprayed. Not at all cloying, but somewhat overwhelming in its own special way.

I'd venture to guess that thousands of young women who purchased this scent unsniffed returned their bottles in outrage over what they took to be a serious bait and switch. Yes, one of these perfumes is not like the others, but since it was the fourth in the series, everyone who was awaiting the next syrup variation could only have been dismayed!

green fresh forest

For me this is a spring perfume, with the cassis note (not listed) quite intense which a very fresh and heavy green aroma. Similar to Miyake "A scent" and Burberry's "London", really you fill exactly the same sense. The flowers are well blended and the patcoulli kicks in with an interesting touch similar to Japanese designers perfumes. It is long lasting and the bottle is very nice. Overall happy with my choise because I really hate the other sweet cloying perfumes from Juicy.

I was in the city today and found Peace, Love & Juicy Couture. Wrapped up, without a tester but very cheap in the bargain corner.
Having already experienced two fragrances from Juicy Couture and finding them quite similar, I expected a slightly altered version of the two. Something sweet, fruity, and sparkling, with jasmine in the foreground.
I opened it right away on a bench in front of the store. I couldn't wait.
The usual kitschy bottle brought a smile to my face. Around the neck of the cap is a green, turquoise-inspired ribbon wrapped with charms. Additionally, there are pink tassels on golden eyelets attached to the ribbon. You can remove the ribbon and use it as a charm bracelet. But you have to be very young and very princess-like to do that.
I am not. But it's a great idea. Overall, the packaging is in pink, gold, and turquoise. I'm expecting a pink, summer feel-good scent.
So, on the arm it goes.

Confusion sets in. I think "green" and wonder which fragrance this reminds me of. For a moment, I have the old classic Ivoire in mind. It smells citrusy and like freshly cut greenery, and quite strong. It even has a slightly herbal scent.
A green powdery, unsweet note spreads. There is a Chanel that it reminds me of. Yes, it strongly reminds me of No 19 Poudrée.
I am quite sure and wonder how such an unsweet, green powdery scent can be put into such packaging. I think I even laughed out loud. But it didn't stand out much, as there are many strange characters around here.

"So I guess I'll wear it to work," I think. Whenever I would have worn No 19 Poudrée but wouldn't have the opportunity to reapply. Because Peace, Love & Juicy Couture lasts a bit longer on the skin. The sillage is not strong, rather moderate. But still quite noticeable. It leaves a fresh, powdery-green impression. I can smell jasmine too. But even that is green.

It's more of a noble and subdued scent, which can certainly become annoying with over-application. You can overdo it by spraying too much.
But lightly applied, it actually works anytime. Wearers who prefer this type of fragrance will surely not reach for a Juicy Couture bottle. And with pink packaging and golden charms, you simply don't expect a green scent.
Something went wrong with their marketing there.

Well, whatever. I rise above such superficialities, and perfume can look kitschy to me. You can't see which bottle it comes from when I wear it, and this scent is quite noble.
However, it only lasts about 5-6 hours on my skin.

I acquired Peace Love today at a bargain, as all the embellishments on and around the bottle were missing.

On one hand, it's a pity because I like little trinkets, but on the other hand, the clear bottle suits the fragrance well, as it is surprisingly serious and hardly playful.

I am greeted by a beautifully direct, green forest meadow that exhales autumn and dreams of winter.
Honeysuckle climbs up the trees and has a faintly sweet scent, mixed with the gentle linden blossom.
Red winter apples rest in the grass, delighting the deer.
Poppy and iris dust the green scenery - how soon the snow will have enveloped the forest.
Peaceful calm and delicate coolness rise from the image.
Light patchouli adds a touch of the mystical, fairy-tale-like.

Perhaps Santa will land right on this quiet forest meadow with Rudolph?

Green and floral, absolutely not fruity. At first, I don't like the hyacinth. After that, it's pleasant, I smell freesia. Sillage is close to the body.
