How many Aventus clones is this?
Ok, the DNA is great and almost everyone likes it, but you really don't need 10 alternatives to a single fragrance.
Nevertheless, I was curious and got myself a bottle.
My
Club de Nuit Intense Man Eau de Toilette vintage batch is probably only 50% full, which means I'll have to look around for something new again.
But is
Infini even Aventus?
As far as the opening is concerned, I would say rather no.
Although it's not listed, I perceive a lot of pepper, something slightly smoky and apple.
After a short time, the bergamot is the most noticeable of the fruity notes, along with a lot of vetiver.
No Aventus, but you can say the fragrance is strongly inspired by Creed.
So it goes in that direction, but with its own twist.
Funnily enough, I also notice something peppery in the DD.
Sweet, fresh, peppery, fruity, very appealing to the masses.
I would have liked more pineapple, so it would be closer to the original, but still a pleasant companion for the warm season.
I also notice the bergamot most strongly towards the end.
Pineapple and apple are more in the background.
The note that reminds me of pepper could be cardamom, together with the birch and the vetiver you have a pleasant woody, spicy note that gives the fragrance a certain masculine touch.
All in all, a fragrance that I have nothing to complain about, but also not one that I would have to stockpile.
If you want to smell good for little money, this is the fragrance for you.
But if you want a top alternative to Aventus, then I would rather say look at Armaf or something like that.
H/S is moderate, but I was asked about the fragrance even after 9 hours, i.e. at a time when I no longer noticed it.
So it could be that it's a top performer, I'm just scent-blind.
