Mocha Latte vs Khamrah Qahwa
This perfume reminds me of one of my favorite Lattafas, the Khamrah Qahwa .
Do we really need an alternative to a fragrance that is already quite cheap? I don't think so.
Nevertheless, I will compare the two here and tell you which one I think is better.
Cardamom, cinnamon and orange are listed in the top note and that's exactly what you get.
But I can also smell the liqueur that is supposed to appear in the heart note from the start.
Very similar to Qahwa but a little more boozy, fruity and somehow not as heavy as Lattafa.
In the DD the liqueur note is super prominent, for me a bit too much of a good thing.
Cardamom and cinnamon are still perceptible, but the orange recedes somewhat into the background.
The cardamom note in Qahwa is stronger and spicier.
I don't really notice coffee very strongly in either fragrance, they are quite similar.
Later on, the orange comes back more strongly, somehow it manages to fight its way through and makes a brief comeback.
To me, it smells more like a slightly bitter orange peel and not really like an authentic, juicy orange.
I think it's the reason why the Mocha doesn't smell as heavy as the Qahwa.
Fortunately, the liqueur note is no longer as prominent and, above all, not as pungent as at the beginning.
Towards the end, both are sweet, cinnamony cardamom bombs.
All the other notes are then pretty much in the background.
The similarity is around 85-90%.
Do you need both? I don't think so.
My favorite is the Qahwa, it performs better and smells slightly higher quality.
Nevertheless, the Mocha Latte is a great fragrance that doesn't have to hide from its role model.
The performance is moderate, as mentioned above I find the Qahwa more potent.
Durability could also be better, but here too you can't really complain too much.
Just like the Lattafa, the Khadlaj is also unisex (W55%/45%M).
And of course more for colder days.
Finally, I would like to thank Peppermint for allowing me to test this great fragrance.
So my curiosity was satisfied
