Tonka bean's almond facet meets fresh cauliflower (?!)
I've got to admit, this one is a pretty unusual fragrance. Tested it out at the Rennaï (a new shop that opened at the RoyalMount in Montreal) and was pleasantly surprised by it. Sought out a sample at Etiket and here I am.
At first, I get sweetened citruses. They're more on the subtle side than on that tangy, fresh zing you often get from citruses. Doesn't take long before tonka bean appears and this time, it's on the almond, almost powdery side. I don't really detect cauliflower, but the fragrance remains in the fresher territory, never going too sweet or too cloying. It's kind of hard to describe exactly how the scent goes. I'd say it's in the same territory as Lumière Blanche: almondy, powdery with some lovely citruses. Not quite a skin scent, but certainly not a strong fragrance. It has that soothing, calming quality to it and brings me comfort when I wear it.
I'll be testing out my remaining decant and pondering on whether I'll get myself a full bottle. A very lovely discovery from L'Artisan Parfumeur!
