Vanilla done right!

Just got a sample. REALLY good. And I'm not too keen on vanilla fragrances. This is done tastefully. Not too sweet, opulently smoky, unisex/feminine leaning... yeah. This is good.

Unique? I'm not too sure. It reminds me of something I either have or have smelled. In it's defence, how many ways can you do vanilla until it's all been done? In any event, this is vanilla done right!

Fbw?? For me, no. Only because I know I will own it and not wear it. I have enough sweet fragrances should the rare need or occasion call for it.

However, if I smelled this on a woman at some fancy gala or even club, I would be 100 percent intrigued.

Almost Perfect

I enjoy this almost as much as Seven Veils, which is more of a sensual vibe. There are 3 main entities here that fight for the spotlight. Piercing through a very warm and consistent vanilla is the cashmere wood and cistus labdanum. The note of plum certainly adds a plot twist that makes the transformation more exciting. This is almost the perfect vanilla. After further analyzing, the tenacity and projection of Vanille Antique is lacking a bit for an Extrait, but interesting while it lasts. Sadly my hunt continues for a signature vanilla.

A wonderful surprise

If you love Arabians Tonka by Montale, you will love this one even more.
At the beginning of my journey through the multifaceted world of perfumes, I finally arrived at Byredo's Extrait de Parfum. The first time I smelled it, I wasn't impressed at first, I was only used to the generic fragrances, sweet, fruity and not at all long-lasting.
After the second or third spray, I was in love. The fragrance is just sexy, best suited for going out in the evening in winter or on a summer night.
Woody, spicy, interesting and exciting. I love this fragrance more and more every time I wear it, I get completely lost in it.
The silage and above all the durability are overwhelming, but the price is definitely worth it... A perfect and successful fragrance.

Special gift for special occasions

Unfortunately, I can't describe the fragrance... but I would still like to share my experience with you.

The fragrance was a gift from my girlfriend for our first Christmas together.
My first thought was: what could I have gotten from this budget for 50 ml...

My girlfriend liked it so much even before we bought it that she simply assumed that I must like it too.
i, who love vanilla fragrances, was disillusioned after smelling it for the first time.
I couldn't sniff out any real classic vanilla...

After I had used the fragrance 2-3 times, I could no longer imagine my collection without it.
i really can't describe what it smells like but it's just unbelievably good.
Every person I showed this fragrance to couldn't stop sniffing the bottle.

The fragrance is simply unbelievably UNIQUE

That's why I only use this fragrance for special evenings so that it smells just as special.

The sillage and longevity are good but should be even stronger for the price.

It was a weak moment...

... between Arabians Tonka and Instant Crush and 9 months later "Night Veils - Vanille Antique | Byredo" was born.

I will now go into a little more detail about the fragrance notes.
At the beginning I perceive a slightly metallic note, similar to the top note at the Instant Crush. I can this note but neither the iris, nor the plum clearly assign. Cashmere wood and musk make the fragrance woody warm and cozy.
Very quickly joins the spicy, oriental vanilla to it and this holds and holds and holds....
Still after 10 - 12 h I perceive the fragrance on myself again and again. The sillage is also good, but not unpleasant. The fragrance fits in my opinion rather in the cold Jaheszeit, or in the summer in the evening to go out.
I would describe him neither as a masculine, nor as a feminine fragrance.
Something scratchy, as many write here I do not perceive.
For fans of sweet, spicy orientals is worth a test.
