My favourite things
Do you remember the famous song grom the musical "The sound of music" called "My favourite things"? The opening lyrics said: "Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things"(and so on...)
Well, me too , I imagined all the things I like and a fairy world the first time I smelled this scent at one of the oldest and most famous spice shops of my town.
i was attracted first by the "old style" bottle and the light pink scent which seemed stolen from a "petineuse" of the early '900.
The name too was inviting and made me think of a winter garden, a frozen delight or a pink and sweet sugar candy . So, I sprayed immediately on my skin the scent and suddenly a delicious red fruits accord arrived to my nose, made more feminine and gentle by the rose flowery touch.
Then, I perceived the irresistible and a little girly sugar note added to a very pleasant and more intense rose absolute, giving that "pink" character to this particular fragrance. Finally, i smelled a warm base made of musk and sandalwood, measured and light, not too heavy , to keep the very light and feminine soul of this scent.
I thought of the magic period of Christmas time, to a rose garden in winter and to all the sugary goodies such as candy canes , cotton candy and so on.
This scent could seem a "gourmandise" only for girls, but it isn't so, because the rose touch balances the bouquet making it more "mature" and elegant.
It could be the perfect scent for Christmas time: the sillage isn't too strong and you can wear it also in crowded rooms for a pleasant and not too intrusive result.
Unfortunately, this scent I loved isn't anymore on sale and I cannot find it. When i tested it I haven't bought it for its quite high price and now...only the memory remains of this scented fairytale !
