Cuero - Leather
I've discovered La Martina as a brand 3 months ago, sometimes I feel a bit disappointed, since I didn't have this Hobby 1 year ago , and now have to discover all kinds of niche Brands, or others etc...
However talking about the fragrance itself is more appropriate in the review section.

It states on the linguee Website, that Cuero translates to Leather.. Well is there any leather in this fragrance?

Cuero starts off spicy and citrusy, in the top notes you'll get a note like leather, like sweet spicy leather. After a while the citrus notes are disappearing, and there comes this incense like note, which definitely is Styrax. It stays spicy, vanilla comes more into Play, and the mixture of vanilla and Styrax is really enjoyable. In a few words the base and heart notes are more appealing than the top notes.
The sillage and longevity are average, still it's a good fragrance.

Zino Imitat
It cannot be denied, La Martina tries to imitate successful perfumes. Here’s a summary:

Tierra del Fuego = Aventus
Hombre = Bvlgari Black
Bayres Hombre = Terre d’Hermes
Pampamia Noble = Gucci pour Homme I

When reading the previous comments about Cuero, many think of a strong resemblance to a well-known fragrance. However, no one can name it.

For me, Cuero is clearly an attempt to copy Zino. When you layer the fragrance notes, the similarities are evident: bergamot, lavender, woods, patchouli, vanilla, cedar.

With Tierra del Fuego, I can understand why fans of this scent profile might prefer it over the more expensive Aventus. However, Zino is now being practically given away, for about 25 € per 100 ml.

Cuero is not poorly made. But if you’re in the mood for the scent of a mystical cigar box, then it’s better to go for the iconic original!!

I feel the same way
Just before Christmas, I stumbled into a small-town perfumery, and the excited saleswoman, probably surprised that I found her rather easy-to-miss shop, besieged me for a while. La Martina was completely unfamiliar to me, but she raved about it in the highest terms and before I knew it, she was holding a test strip under my nose. I can't reconstruct exactly what she told me, but the scent seemed very familiar. When I asked her about it, she couldn't give me a satisfactory answer.

As Apicius once said, Cuero has been around before, but I can't say what it reminds me of so strongly. It's truly not bad, but it doesn't blow me away either. A bit of lemon, a little spice, and a slight leather note at the end. I did take the test vial with me, but only to hide it in my father's bathroom cabinet during my next visit after just one test. So far, he hasn't noticed it......

The Grappa of the Fragrance Industry
What a harsh start, that has no idea where it's going... I had great concerns that Cuero might be off. But the saleswoman and the comments below, which also speak of a very strict beginning, dispel these fears. It starts toxic, zesty, powdery. It resembles a bit of patchouli bombs like Giorgio for Men, just with a powdery southern charm. One thinks the stuff eats away and burns into the skin, it smells so strange. It somehow reminds me of Grappa, which I find disgusting, but it fits well with the cork stopper, because Grappa tastes like cork!

But I would say, unlike other La Martina creations, it's not a pure imitation; at least I don't know the original either. It also clearly has its own character, as it surprised me and speaks for itself, and it's not one that pleases the masses!

After this extraordinary, unpleasant start, it slowly settles down and becomes more pleasant - like almost every fragrance. I hardly know a fragrance that gets worse or more unpleasant over time. However, I like Cuero the least of all La Martinas so far, and by a wide margin. It's really not a fragrance I would wear, even if it has its own character. This character, however, doesn't suit me. Or hardly suits people generally averse to patchouli. Later, it becomes woody-leathery with a big shot of vanilla. The vanilla in the dry down could almost be called typical La Martina.

I find the bottle with the cork stopper and leather coat extremely successful, and the price is also great. Longevity is okay at 6-7 hours. At first, you think, oh, this could last forever, but then it suddenly drops off. The same goes for the longevity; it hits you hard at first but then quickly fades away.

Overall quirky, but absolutely nothing for me!

Average
Cuero is the new men's fragrance from La Martina. This scent is probably another plagiarism of something else, but this time I can't quite place it. It seems familiar to me.

I don't smell much of the promised leather here. For me, this is quite a classic oriental. With vanilla volume in the base and patchouli in the heart note. A portion of spicy coumarin holds its ground. From the top, the citrus notes linger for quite a while.

None of this is particularly special. If, as with the other two men's fragrances from this brand, a popular successful perfume was to be copied and improved, then it would be one that I'm not familiar with because I don't like it.

It's a shame, after the two successful plagiarisms, this is an average oriental fragrance.

A leathery-sweet scent, actually very pleasant, but Cuero's performance leaves much to be desired.

Nothing special, but for the low price, it's quite good! Citrusy and styrax-like!

Spray: Quickly gone, not good at all. Pungent styrax scent.

It leans towards the Hermés classic Belami. Balsamic, soothing, lightly cinnamon. It could be a scent from the early 80s. It's good!

Cuero Hombre feels underdeveloped to me - artificial-leathery with a soapy note that has neither depth nor character. Doesn't last long, unfolds
