La Martina Hombre La Martina 2008 Eau de Toilette

Apicius is right, this fragrance is indeed a replica.
In my opinion, however, it is absolutely not like Bvlgari's Black (where ONLY the rubbery aspect can also be found), but clearly inspired by Dior's classic Fahrenheit!
Certainly not a 1:1 copy, but definitely closely related and well done.

The scent starts off great, really nicely spicy, especially the basil is easy to "detect." After that, it becomes quite bare, and I mean really bare. The bottle with its genuine leather trim provides a fantastic packaging for the content.

I find that the fragrance smells less like real rubber, but rather like a horse saddle, leather, and stable. The perfumer from La Martina has really achieved this impressively, and it fits perfectly with the company philosophy (after all, La Martina also manufactures riding saddles).
You actually feel like you are just putting the saddle on your horse and inhaling deeply the leather and stable air.

But that is exactly the catch as to why I couldn't permanently warm up to this wonderful scent. I don't want to smell like a stable. Especially in warmer temperatures, the fragrance develops very animalistic, and I really don't want to smell like that.
The longevity is average.

The fragrance is definitely worth a test, and I can firmly state one thing
- if you like Dior's Fahrenheit, you will also like La Martina's Hombre -

At La Martina, it seems they have mastered the art of recreating the successful scents of other brands and enhancing them with some key changes. After Terre d'Hermès was processed in this way in the perfume Bayrez Hombre, they have now taken on the interesting Bulgari Black.

I found Bulgari Black to be utterly disappointing. It has a wonderful "black" rubber note, which is also commented on in the successful tire-shaped bottle. Unfortunately, the delicious rubber only exists as a top note. Not only for me, this vanished within a very short time in favor of a boring scent.

At La Martina, the association of "green" alongside "black" is allowed, as there is a herbal hint with basil and thyme that distinguishes the scent from the Bulgari Black top note.

But that’s not really important. What matters is that La Martina has managed to transform the Bulgari Black top note into at least a mediocre and thus usable longevity. And the rubber note is quite sexy. It’s exactly the scent you can perceive when you open a box of household rubber bands. Perhaps a childhood scent; I don't even know if household rubber bands still smell like anything today. In any case, it was something very fascinating. Such a perverse smell that you might not necessarily find beautiful, yet it somehow compels you to keep sniffing it due to its oddity. And this is precisely where the appeal of La Martina Hombre lies.

So if you’re looking to be sniffed by someone else - this could do the trick.

Due to the good review here, I added Hombre to my cart during my recent order.
Now I have tested it a few times and I must say, I am speechless.
Normally, I wouldn't write any comments about it, but for the sake of clarity, I will.
The bottle does look nice...when sprayed, you perceive a light green potpourri accompanied by a soap note.
Sillage and longevity are subtle, the scent is nothing extraordinary, and for that, 40.- is just too much!
Unfortunately, another mispurchase, but I will get over it because I have discovered wonderful perfumes from Swiss Arabian that are also much cheaper.
I do not recommend buying this.

In 2007 or 2008, I was in the clothing store Anson's, where La Martina clothing was still quite trendy, at least among people wanting to show off as 'new money'. Later, you saw countless fake polos with the number 3 on the back in every larger city... This probably kept me from testing the La Martina perfumes. Later, I read in various forums that the perfumes from La Martina are just covered versions of other, more successful ones. One is said to resemble AVENTUS, and that's exactly where my review comes in:
I have pretty much all versions of Fahrenheit, except for a Summer Edition from the early 2000s.
I bought this fragrance online after testing it at KaDeWe (because it was cheaper) and find it very successful, except for the first 10 seconds. Once you get past that, you're rewarded with a scent that resembles Fahrenheit Aqua (no violets, no petrol, more citrusy). The fragrance feels masculine without being overpowering. Target audience: men aged 30 and up (to open end), looking for a somewhat rugged, almost old-school, yet simultaneously fresh scent, with average to good longevity.
The sillage is not overwhelming, but also not skin-close. For me, despite all the comparisons, the fragrance has a certain independence and is absolutely not a scent twin to 'normal' Fahrenheit.
I find the fragrance very successful. However, after testing a few other La Martina scents, I must also say that it's only this one 'Hombre' that can truly excite me...

First of all: this is my first comment on parfumo, so I am not (yet) very familiar with all the different perfumes.

However, I find the scent of La Martina Hombre very successful. I would somehow categorize the scent in the same "category" as Terre d'Hermés. Only La Martina Hombre comes across as fresher and fruitier. Nevertheless, the perfume also has a fiery-herbaceous touch due to the pepper, so La Martina Hombre cannot be described as fruity-sweet at all!

I find the longevity of this EdT truly excellent!

I think it is a lovely summer scent that reminds me of a fresh breeze on a muggy day. Somehow, I also associate it with a bit of beach and sailing, but also a connection to nature.
