a dark heavy rose

the opening of this was less spicy than anticipated considering the notes, but it’s definitely a warmly spiced blend of a sweet saffron with cloves. It’s oud heavy too with warm amber accords. The rose here is ultra soapy and freshly sweet, too much for my nose almost, with more spice too. Then the dry down is leather heavy with dry woods. It becomes a very soapy rose forward leather with an herbal aroma and dark green earthiness. It’s very ambery, oud heavy, and leather heavy so it’s a dense scent but the rose offers a semblance of fresh and clean accords to cut into that. I dislike heavy rose scents so didn’t like this but I think someone who enjoy a dark rose would love this.

Soft metallic rose.
Not a bit clinking cold, but enveloping warm. Like silver jewelry warmed on the skin.
The scent is nostalgic, yet stable.

The Beauty is the Beast

You said you were different from the others.
Let’s give it a try and I’ll show you that it’s true.
I have so much to offer you, and with me, you said you would never be bored.
So I trusted you and you were allowed to move in with me.
But hardly had you arrived, you showed your true face.
Okay, you really have a lot to offer. Your spice and the delicate smoke, your everyday wearable oud note. And not to forget your rose, which does not, as so often, come across as heavy and synthetic, but rather natural and very beautiful.
You are very noticeable and definitely stand out, and you last a long time.
But once you’ve been around for a while, you show your pretensions. Your rose is like a spoiled child that knows its beauty, always wants to be the center of attention, and fights jealously against everything else. For a while, it plays nicely with the oud, but then it steps back into the spotlight and wants to be the princess that everyone else must pay homage to.
Do you feel caught? You change and try it in a different way. You become woodier, a bit resinous, but light and gentle. Until you wrap yourself in leather and pin the rose to your corset. But unfortunately, your old leather dress doesn’t even excite the beaver anymore ;-)
So I will let you go, you will find another who appreciates you as you are. Don’t worry. For me, you are unfortunately just another rose-oud. Although in a different guise, you are still like so many others.
I wish you good luck, it was nice to get to know you, but we just don’t fit together.

Cool, intense rose. Sweet oud and other notes briefly appear, but they are mercilessly ‘rosing away’ and after about 4 hours it's all over.

Typical rose oud combo. I don’t find most of listed notes.Its not something you haven’t smelled before but is well blended at great price!
