Creative fresh-sweet fragrance with a greenish touch
Another addendum of a fragrance that I already own almost a year. Since this is quite unique and not one of many he has quite deserves a comment. Especially since Lolita Lempicka has a very fair price / performance ratio. More of a ladies brand as the name suggests. Still, there are a few men's fragrances floating around, but they are also quite unisex like this one. Au Masculin Eau de Toilette is probably the most beloved men's fragrance of this brand, which has a large fan base here and is also in my collection. Rather a gingerbread winter fragrance, where you get here quite a fragrance for the warm season and is also excellent for the transition usable.

The bottle is quite pretty & simple. Matching the name in delicate green. Who chooses the 50ml bottle I I get this already between 20 and 30 euros, which is fair.
Who is looking for a real green fragrance is wrong here. At least these typical garden or forest notes. You get here but fresh peppermint, which is wonderfully uncomplicated here and does not come along like a typical toothpaste. Has such a slight woodruff vibe to it, which is quite unique. The juniper berry also fits in well as it is slightly reminiscent of gin and tonic. A subtle peppery spice also resonates to some extent. The vanilla is not clearly herrausreichbar, as a very sweet component but always present. However, this is never too heavy and too sticky. You get a great fresh-sweet scent. For me, a fragrance I like to smell again and again and does not smell like one of many.
This fragrance was registered and released as a men's fragrance. Also for ladies this is wonderfully portable. Especially towards the end, this fragrance becomes softer and softer. Through this beautiful juniper peppermint, but it is also not too soft and retains its edges. Especially for the evening a striking fragrance, which, however, never becomes too heavy.
Performance is quite good. Especially to start or in the first hours he has a decent sillage and also the durability is more than acceptable.

Who expects the name after a real green fragrance is wrong here. You get a very unisex modern sweet fragrance with gin and tonic vibes. Especially with a smaller budget worth a consideration / test.

An exhausting lover
One week with Green Lover and I'm not really smarter.

The first test surprised me and left me somewhat perplexed. Many more tests have not changed that. I must make it quite clear: Lempica's newcomer is a strange fellow.

At the beginning the alcoholic base and the juniper create a very short impression of gin. In practice, however, this doesn't really play a role, since vanilla from the base comes through almost immediately and takes on the leading role from then on. Mint and tangerine are also allowed. In the core, however, it remains a very vanilla-heavy fragrance, which is only slightly seasoned and refreshed by the other components. At least in the first half. At the latest, when the mint starts its retreat, the smell becomes clearly too sweet to me.

So that's where we're at, strange. What I smell doesn't match the name, the bottle or the packaging. From the outside, everything points to something refreshing. It's not. Not at all. Not at all. I would also strongly doubt the categorisation as men's fragrance. What I perceive is clearly unisex and I would even bet that it smells better on ladies.

This leading triad of vanilla, mint and mandarin seems quite natural to me, but also very unusual. I don't know anything comparable and at the same time I feel reminded of something. That also belongs in the strange category. Depending on my mood and daily form I feel Green Lover from pleasant to special, unusual, pompous to unpleasant and sometimes annoying. In my humble opinion it is therefore neither a blind buy candidate, nor a grab & go, nor an easy-to-wear fragrance.

Vanilla fans who like it a little more special might want to give it a try. Creativity and quality cannot be denied to the fragrance. But for me personally, Lempicka's newcomer is simply too exhausting

"Green Lover" inspires me with the natural scent of a tangerine peel.

It smells fresh, sweet and also slightly bitter. The scent of my childhood, which for me represents Christmas and New Year's Eve. That is why I will wear the "Green Lover" under the Christmas tree.

The mandarin peel is accompanied by woodruff and mint. Very easily I perceive spices and a "masculine" note that I could not yet identify. Unfortunately, this cocktail of freshness and lightness is overlaid by a sweetness which is overwhelming for me and which I can only describe as sugar syrup. A thick, chewy mass that hides a treasure - the actual "green lover", which is perfectly represented by the outer packaging.

"Green Lover" is not a lover in the romantic sense, it's not about attraction and sensuality. "Green Lover" is the one who likes to be outdoors and enjoy nature - the fresh air, the cold stream, the lush green plants. So why the sugar syrup?

Finally, I would like to say that I would have wished the "Green Lover" to be fresher. The sugar syrup causes tooth decay in me, I can hardly ignore it, but for the time being I'll try, the smell of tangerine will

When Paco and Lolita brew a magic potion, or: Surprised, disappointed and not refreshed.
Anyone who knows and - like me - loves Lolita Lempicka's no longer produced Au Masculin, and the slightly watered-down follow-up version Pour Homme, would naturally like to have more of it, especially as the brand with its imaginative flacons and dreamy women's fragrances creates a fairytale aura around itself that arouses curiosity.
So I was all the more surprised when, after the first spray from the crystal-clear, slightly green bottle, an old acquaintance greeted me, whom I had not expected to see like this. Pure XS from Paco Rabanne! The green-sweet, youthful clubber in the elf costume? Mainstream proll meets vegan tree cuddler? Someone definitely put the wrong djinn in my bottle!
I am disappointed because Pure XS is actually greener than the Green Lover. Both are based on an intensely sweet vanilla note, which is green - how should I put it - pierced. But where Paco brings out this green note in a tart, woody, albeit synthetic way, Lolita throws all the desserts she can find in the fridge into the brew, all at the same time. Especially this transparent woodruff jelly puts its stamp on the brew. It doesn't look like an abandoned, dreamy witch's house in the fairy forest, but like the psychedelic unicorn level in Diablo 3. Would I eat that? I don't think so. And I wouldn't want to smell like it. Instead of compliments, I get questions like, "Where did you get this vape-liquid?" Uh, yeah In addition, the green lover is actually more of a lover, precisely because he lacks a harsh primer. That in itself would not be a problem, but who's going to wear that? Medieval fans? Too synthetically freaky. People who are committed to a sustainable lifestyle? Trust me, they don't want to smell this way. Arianna Grande fans? They might want to, but they smell like cloud. And they better.
And when should you wear this? In summer? Too heavy and intense. In winter? It lacks the spice of cinnamon, cardamom or similar as an opponent. At a romantic dinner? At best with slushie and bubbletea!
Granted, Green Lover is a potent concoction. Applied at 7:00 this morning and still noticeably sillier at 12:00. And as I said - actually not unpleasant at all, but apart from hunger this smell does not evoke any emotions in me, and thus Green Lover unfortunately does not fulfill the function of a perfume for me.
With a weeping eye I will probably let the Green Lover wander back into the souk.

Tic Tac Toe
Are you enjoying Tic-Tac's ? Then you'll love Green Lover ! This is the first thing that came into my mind when I first sniffed this one. Just more amplified, obviously. The main players here are mint and vanilla for my nose. The final result after the dry down is magical. A very well balanced and refined vanillic & minty kind of smell. Very high quality smell ! Sweet and a bit fresh from the mint. The pepper adds some spiciness to the composition and the citruses puts everything so well together.
As I said, a sweet and very creamy kind of smell. Tic Tac was just a little comparison idea but the smell is much, much more than that.

Longevity and sillage are great. Not beastly but definitely above average. Great scent for the colder days, dates, casual or for another occasion.

The price is also a fantastic deal ! You must try this ! Some of you will love it !

Overall : 8.3/10

Interesting scent! To me it improves over time. The sleeve cuff of my winter coat has been projecting this strong vanilla for 3 weeks now!

I thought it could be unisex but the juniper it's strong for my skin, so I layer it with a sweet citrousy scent and I love it.
