Review as Mon Premier Parfum
Hmm? Is this Mon Premier Parfum?
Cherry to licorice, powdery refreshing iris, subtle vetiver, a touch of vanilla.
The Monpremier version is something like this. It's quite easy to wear, and it's a mass-market version that neutralizes the toxicity of the original.
If you want Lolita Lempicka, the original is the only choice. That said, it's not that this isn't amazing at all. However, if you know the original, you can still feel the difference. It's like when your country's food is localized foreign country and you feel like it's "delicious but somehow different." For example, it's similar to when you eat Marugame Seimen in Japan and then eat it in London and feel like the broth is weak. You want to say, "Give me Lolita Lempicka's broth!". That said, this is the only thing I have, so I'll eat it. The original has a more piercing, sugary scent.

My lovely powdery fairy.
When I was a teen I first stumbled upon Fragrantica, and from there I got to the page for the original Lolita Lempicka and I've been enamored with the description of this fragrance ever since. She was a mischievous, spicy, forest pixie. The vintage iris, violet and powder played with the quirkiness of anise, ivy and cherries. Lolita Lempicka was everything I wanted to be, she was me as a fragrance. She was girly, spunky, and unavailable in my country. We didn't even have any dupes as powdery perfumes just aren't all that common in Brazil. I tried to move on to other scents I could get my hands on but I would always make my away back into the page of Lolita Lempicka.

Last year I moved to America, this year I suffered through an awful, awful retail job. The week I quit I finally bought Lolita Lempicka Mon Premier.

Now the reformulation and bottle are as controversial as can be, I was absolutely in love with the original bottle as many others are and for completionism sake will probably get the Le Parfum version eventually but I decided to go with the Mon Premier version as I the fact that it seemingly does not have the crazy sillage the original formulation did, my perfumes are my own to enjoy, not random people I walk by.

And the juice is everything I ever dreamed of reading those descriptions so many years ago, to my nose the cherries and licorice come out strong during the opening and then i'm left with this lovely combination of the violet, anise and ivy. On my skin it leans much more powdery and spicy, and if i pay attention the green of the Ivy is just around the corner. No syrup or sweetness. But even then she's youthful and not granny at all. She is exactly like the Fairy I was promised.

My only issue now is finding a good body lotion to match this scent as my signature!

Despite licorice - top
I don't like eating licorice - but I like smelling it.
I feel the same way about caramel.

Fortunately, hubby likes both treats - but only when they are soft.

I then always sneak around in his haze - hoping for a kiss.

And the Lempicka licorice is also buttery and sweet - topped with a plump sweet cherry, though the cherry flavor still drowns out the licorice.
I feel reminded of La petite robe noir - but here the honey-sweet cistus additionally appeals to me.
This flower can always score with me.

The violet seems lovely and not tart - and nestles up against the round tonka.

This gourmand fragrance is a delight - and for all its sweetness, not overbearing or greasy.
It also offers a nice feminine playfulness - without seeming teeny.
The lady is also well dressed with the eau de parfum.

The attribute " lacy " in the headline is to be translated as "prima ", because the EDP is not at all pointed.

Again a Lempicka that I like all around - although en blanc remains my favorite.

Tasty fruity gourmand. You don't have to like licorice to like this. It's just florals and sweet fruits, and the iciness of anise. Yum.
