Lolita Lempicka Eau de Minuit 2012 Lolita Lempicka 2012

There aren't many myrrh perfumes, at least none that I'm aware of. So it surprises me that this ancient ingredient, which has been used for thousands of years in perfume, is not more commonly found today. Even the 3 Wise Men brought myrrh to Jesus.
It is thus documented quite early.

The scent is truly wonderfully soft, not loud or screaming, very gentle and delicate.
The iris and myrrh blend beautifully together and are perfectly harmonized.
Vanilla is not explicitly noticeable. It probably integrates softly into the composition.
It is a completely enchanting myrrh scent, and lovers of this component should definitely try Minuit..
I have already stocked up sufficiently.

Here comes a fragrance that already has many from this line (one per year). Lolita Lempicka Midnight. Currently, I only know this scent (from a sample), so I can't compare the fragrances for now. In any case, Midnight 2012 is a beautiful scent with powdery notes that has the peculiarity of having a slightly stronger sillage at the beginning than other powdery fragrances, making it quite suitable as an evening scent.

The fragrance:
According to the fragrance pyramid or the clicked fragrance components, myrrh is supposed to smell the strongest in the top note. However, I can perceive the iris better at the beginning. The slightly resinous-smoky myrrh, on the other hand, is clearly in the background. Only after a few minutes does the myrrh become a bit stronger, and only from the heart note does it slowly take the lead. Then it also appears significantly warmer and more balsamic.
Additionally, the fragrance then gains a sweet component from the jasmine. The floral-sweet scent seems to also emit slight fruity notes.
Later in the base, the myrrh/iris combination remains along with sweet notes. The vanilla is present, but it is not as strong as one might think. At the end, there are also resinous notes.

The longevity and sillage:
The longevity is about six hours; after that, the fragrance is still present but in a significantly weaker state.
The sillage is good, but I don't find it as strong as the reviews here suggest (well, maybe it is if you really spray heavily). Nevertheless, it is well perceivable and radiates nicely. And for a powdery fragrance, I find it quite well made.

The bottle:
The bottle has the typical shape of almost all Lempicka fragrances and is apple-shaped. This bottle is dark violet and has golden Lolita Lempicka lettering on it. The leaf patterns are somewhat less visible on this dark bottle than on other Lolita bottles. The spray head is also dark and not gilded and looks, as always, like the stem of an apple. To spray, one presses down on the stem.

This Lempicka is a very nice fragrance that smells beautifully of iris and myrrh as well as light, fruity notes. Of course, I currently have no other comparison with other fragrances from this line and therefore cannot list any differences. But especially because of the wonderful scent here, I have become interested in testing the other fragrances at some point as well.

Additionally, with such a fragrance, the question always arises whether it is worth buying if you already have one or more "feel-good" fragrances with iris and/or powdery notes on your shelf. Everyone has to decide that for themselves; however, this fragrance has an advantage over most fragrances that are used as feel-good scents: This Lempicka, due to its stronger sillage, is very well suited as a pleasant evening fragrance and will therefore smell excellent on women. But even though I have been talking about "strong sillage" the whole time, this only applies in comparison to many other powdery fragrances in the "feel-good scents" category. So don't expect anything bombastic.

A test is always recommended if you should see this version somewhere!

What can I say.....I love my sweet cherry! ABOVE ALL!!!!! I am anyway enthusiastic about all Lempicka perfumes. .....The shape of the apple enchants me every time, it feels good in the hand .....But the dark purple apple looks mega cool too!
Whether during the day or in the evening when going out, this SCENT always enchants me and wraps me in a cherry cotton candy cloud, making me feel like a princess :)
Others often say the scent is very captivating, but I don’t feel that way at all......But when they sniff me during a hug, they always ask what that good scent is.
I personally don’t smell the iris, I often argue about it with my dearest.....He claims it is very prominent! I also can’t pick out jasmine individually.....For me, the overall concept counts AND THAT CONVINCES ME!

The opening is sweet and heavy with a hint of an indeterminate fruit. This lasts for about an hour, nearly knocks me over, and I don't like it at all. I quickly type out a statement and want to forget EdM. But that doesn't work, because slowly a powdery scent with gentle vanilla sneaks into my nose and the fruit idea is completely gone. It is now - despite the vanilla - not so sweet anymore. I take this turn in a positive direction into account, but I'm still busy with other things for the moment; however, I do quickly adjust my rating a bit upwards.

Three hours later, after dinner and the last dog walk, I suddenly have an almost dust-dry powdery iris in my nose without any associations to laundry detergent or lipstick. Pleasant. And over the course of the following hour, a delicate spice reminiscent of light tobacco joins in. Now I like EdM. The rating goes up again, the statement is deleted...

In the following two days, the positive impression is confirmed from hour 2 - 2 1/2. The vanilla becomes a bit more present but leans more towards balsamic, thus remaining unsweet. Nevertheless, EdM does not trigger a "must-have" feeling in me.

~ Inspiration ~
Having tested several perfumes from Lolita Lempicka (which somehow intrigue me), "Eau de Minuit - Midnight Fragrance 2012" also made it onto my wishlist.

~ Bottle ~
The typical shape of an enchanted apple has been retained here as well - fitting the name in a deep dark blue-black with golden lettering.

~ Scent ~
Upon application, the familiar Lolita Lempicka character immediately fills my nose. Powdery iris blossoms combine with oriental, smoky myrrh. A slightly bitter licorice (sweet wood) is gently caressed by jasmine flowers. Vanilla provides a warm, creamy finish. I also detect a sweet cherry note, which is not listed.

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts around 6-7 hours (even a bit longer on clothing and hair). A few sprays are sufficient; otherwise, it becomes too dry and piercing for me.

~ Occasion ~
A charming scent for the colder days and evenings in autumn and winter (it would be too overpowering for the office).

~ Conclusion ~
I am fascinated by these "magical" scents from Lolita Lempicka and I enjoy smelling my samples again and again. Unfortunately, I am bothered here - as so often - by the dusty-dry and slightly smoky component.
