If you don't like Angel...try this
I've tried flanker after flanker of Angel and disliked most of them except one or two (the edt and Liqueur de Parfum Création 2013). I don't know why perfume hobbyists such as myself push to test over and over the same perfumes we dislike in hopes we develop a new-found love in them...

I was lucky to have a member on Fragrantica obtain a sample of this for me as a Nordstrom was not close by for testing (this was a Nordstrom exclusive for a little while; I was able to get it at Sephora today). She said it was an Angel flanker for people who don't like Angel. I took her word for it; and she was right!

The sherbet gives the perfume a nice tart bite at the beginning. This still has a bit of Angel's patchouli in the base, but it's not overwhelming by any means. The drydown is a creamy berry meringue. I finally found a flanker to love.

Softened, sweetened, modnernised. Angel
The "sherbet" and "meringue" notes come across as purely "sweet" to me, but not cloying. I smell the red fruits, and a softened but still very recognisable version of the original Angel.

More fruity than I expected. I don't notice any of the sherbet, caramel or meringue notes. However like it, and can definitely smell the Angel "DNA" so to speak but the complete scent is easily told apart from the original and much more modern and wearable.

Kleos' Shortest Comment
This time it will be short but to the point: Angel Eau Sucree is sweet, sweeter, then even sweeter again, and to top it all off, the sugar is also underlined with a synthetic note that doesn’t disappear even at the base. No trace of any berries or meringue!

Mr. Mugler's fragrances and my nose are not compatible at all. That exists. That's why I would never have thought to test Eau Sucree; the name already implies that there is an increase in calorie content compared to the regular Angel! Also, the fact that the sample was wrapped like a candy should have been a warning. But before I passed it on, I thought, oh, just try it... the rest is as mentioned above.

Maybe I'm being unfair. Maybe I'll get backlash for this. Maybe I'm too old for this kind of thing. I also feel very sorry for everyone who likes it, and there are surprisingly many. But I get cavities, diabetes, vitamin deficiency, cellulite, and a bad mood when I smell this. And since less than 0 percent is not possible, there’s also no rating. And a week without dessert. That’s it.

Addendum August 31, 2015:

I feel a bit ashamed of the above comment... Just a year ago, I couldn't handle overly sweet fragrances; for the past six months, it can't be sweet enough for me, not even in summer. Now I've tested this fragrance again and immediately fell in love! And even BOUGHT IT!! Now it gets 80 percent. Let's see what next year brings...

I've been caught... I like an Angel :)
I really can't stand the original Angel. It's too overpowering, piercing... too patchouli-heavy, and I actually felt nauseous when I tested it back then.
Angel Muse was different... although it starts with a typical Angel opening note... which fortunately fades away quickly, and with Angel Muse, the first Mugler was allowed to join my collection. I don't like Alien any more than the original Angel :)
I had no expectations for Angel Eau Sucrée and was still happy to receive a small sample from the Angel clan. Thanks again to the lovely Parfuma who included this in the swap package.
During the first test, I wasn't really blown away... but today it completely caught me :)
About the scent:
Angel Eau Sucrée starts with a zesty-fresh sorbet of red berries. These don't come across as very sweet; I find them rather tart.
As the caramel note comes in, it turns sweet and berry-like. It smells delicious enough to bite into.
With patchouli and vanilla, it moves into the base, and it must be mentioned that these notes blend wonderfully with the red berries. The scent gains some depth but doesn't become too heavy even with the currently prevailing tropical temperatures in the apartment.
I can describe the longevity from the first test as quite good, lasting about 7 - 8 hours. The sillage is good but not overpowering, and I would say that this Angel doesn't bother anyone.
Since I tested Angel Eau Sucrée in the greatest heat, I declare it suitable for year-round wear, although in the height of summer, it is preferred in the evening. The scent is very pleasing and definitely a crowd-pleaser!
The bottle... yes, the beautiful star is a dream.
Conclusion:
I've been caught... I like an Angel. A summer Angel... beautifully dreamy. Berry start, then sweet-vanilla with a lovely patch. Ah!
... clearly a recommendation to test, especially for those who also can't stand the original Angel ;)
Oh yes... wish list :)

Take me to the Candyshop! - So Close to Heaven
Oh my sucrée!

Heavenly, divine, sweet, unique (not quite)!

What has the house of Mugler brought us closer to the earth?
A piece of heaven, evening sky - orange, pink, slightly drifting into blue.
White cotton candy, the Venus star, shining pink-red in the night sky.

Heaven is Angel,
the stars, that’s me.

Eau sucrée captivates with its sweetness - juicy berries set the rhythm in the first moments; cheeky, flirtatious, light. They sweeten my evening. As dessert, a meringue, dripping with caramel. Meringue - kisses in French. A kiss that knows how to seduce. Melting delicately. Light yet creamy. The sweetness drips from this bottle - gourmand, provocative, delicious.

Angel descends to sweeten our lives, to bring us a piece of heaven closer.

Gourmandise, the sweet idleness, the fine gluttony, that is eau sucrée.
We stand behind the glass counter of a candy store, everything is so delicious, our mouths water, we can’t decide what we want - a flood of sweet scents rises to our noses. Everything is ready to be devoured by us. Cotton candy, sweet candy canes, lollipops, macarons, cupcakes, muffins, ice sorbet.

Angel eau sucrée combines all the tasty things in a bottle, wrapped in delicate blue, sugar-glazed. Just like with all the treats, one tries to stop, but one cannot - one completely surrenders to the taste, feeling the sugar crunch between the teeth.

Those who can embrace this scenario will find their true delights in this perfume. Those who fear cavities should be advised against this angel of the evening sky.

I am completely captivated by it!

It is worth mentioning that it bears a strong resemblance to Sí by Armani and also La Vie est belle is in it - but with the typical Angel note.

Refined flirtation!

Like a rich cream cake with a hint of vanilla, enhanced with particularly fresh currants - yet not "too much"

I'm hooked! Angel DNA is noticeable at the start, but it transforms into a delicious berry-vanilla cream with meringue, both tangy and sugary sweet at the same time.

First: piercing grapefruit then: berry-vanilla mousse like Tresor Folie. Finally, the best chocolate-vanilla base ever. So cozy :-)

I could jump into the bottle like the enchanting Jeannie. Soooo unbelievably delicious. Red berries, praline, and in the background, Angel DNA.

Oh, it's so beautiful at 30°C. Fruity, berry patchouli, so irresistibly lovely. I only wore it in winter, a big mistake!
