An Underrated Fragrance Part III...
I got to know the fragrance through a travel package and I wonder why nothing has been written about it so far… Hmm, is it that unknown or perhaps that bad?
So I would like to give it a try. Since I can hardly draw comparisons to “common” men’s fragrances, I’ll spare you a rating, but I tend towards a “pleasant”…
Well, during the first test, the fragrance started off fresh and zesty with a bit of a sharp edge; I roughly categorized the scent notes as “citrusy,” while other notes remained hidden from me, making differentiation impossible. It smelled somewhat familiar, a bit like shower gel and rather synthetic, but in a moderate way. So I immediately dismissed it as a potentially likable but inconsequential men’s freshie, surely best suited for sports activities, etc.…
At least it didn’t show any unpleasant base notes, which I usually can’t identify but that always stand out to me in men’s perfumes. Shortly after, I fell asleep (I like to test in the evenings, so I can usually concentrate fully on it), and by morning everything had completely disappeared.
The second test went differently: this time, fruity-apple notes emerged immediately and the overall progression was noticeably milder!
After about an hour, the base shone through, it flashed slightly sour yet increasingly warm and somehow “tasty.” Amber and barely identifiable patchouli seemed to be working subtly here. The fragrance became more interesting and better, but unfortunately, after about 3 hours, it was hardly perceptible anymore!
Conclusion: even though the fragrance, especially at the beginning, didn’t come across as particularly high-quality and seems to have rather weak longevity, it still strikes me as likable.
In my opinion, it is a rather gender-neutral fresh-fruity perfume with a nice soft finish, which I would categorize as a friendly everyday scent or a moderate introduction to the world of fragrances…
