Gourmand: Glutton or Sweet Tooth
Gourmands have always been those who didn't eat, but stuffed everything into themselves and devoured it. It was only here that I learned that there are gourmand fragrances that smell fruity, caramel-like, vanilla..........so somehow edible and sweet, and are for the sweet-toothed. However, I would have preferred to have the cheese cart here.

In classic kitchens, the pastry section is rather unloved: sticky fingers have always been the knockout argument for my colleagues not to take on this part of the kitchen. By the end of service, my aprons were abstract color paintings that, of course, in my opinion, were worthy of exhibition. I am a friend of gourmands, bring them on - I want to try them all!

Diadema is not the crown of creation, but at least a diadem. It smells orange-cherry, vanilla, caramel, and somehow creamy. Patchouli emphasizes the fruitiness. Jasmine is noticeable, while rose and ylang are rather subdued. And I could really like the scent if the caramel note weren't so overemphasized. It's as if the fragrance wants to say: Hey, I'm a caramel bomb, look at me! While this caramel note in Lira is more understated and smells like luxurious dessert, here it’s more in-your-face and therefore comes across as artificial. Artificial also because the cherry-orange combo feels like a cheap lollipop and not like a dessert. Only after an hour on my skin does the caramel note become pleasant.

"When you don't have bread, let them eat cake"
So or something similar is the legendary saying of Marie Antoinette.
Whether she actually said it, no one really knows today.

When I first smelled Diadema by Moresque,
I immediately thought of her. How she sits at a lavish
table in Versailles. In a pastel-colored, opulent dress and her light blonde
updo. On the gold and white decorated porcelain plate, there are a
few macarons as well as a spoonful of crème brûlée with sweet cherries.
It is exactly this image that touches me so deeply with this fragrance.

The fragrance itself begins with a very, very sweet cherry-vanilla opening. A citrus note is only in the background and very faintly noticeable. Unfortunately, I cannot perceive the floral notes individually. The sweet dessert feeling lingers on my skin for a good 8 hours.
After about 4 hours, the scent becomes somewhat powdery, even slightly resinous on my skin.
After that, and until the end, I predominantly perceive the vanilla with the caramel.

In conclusion, I must say that Diadema is one of my favorites when it comes to sweet fragrances.

Sugary-sweet caramel- vanilla with a load of smoke in strange and unharmonious way.

No Italian lightness
more like Cindy from Marzahn
with cherry-orange lollipop
too much caramel-vanilla
drowned in patchouli

The fruits don't come through for me.
I sense a leather note,
sprinkled with cotton candy.
Unique and distinct, it has a certain charm.

When I spray it, I immediately think of A.e.Zucchero - sugar cascades into the nose, a bit fruity, but the patchouli doesn't quite harmonize, unfortunately.

Sugared cherry with orange marmalade, white floral bouquet, white chocolate - a dream dessert for young princesses.

Sweet cotton candy with a bitter-leathery undertone. Somehow very discordant.
