A mélange of spices and powders

To start off, this is a great perfume!

You get cardamom and nutmeg, sadly only hints of coffee, and a powdery accord very reminiscent of Dior Homme Intense (2011) and Gentleman Givenchy Réserve Privée . Another user mentiomed that this has Babycat vibes, but I don't get those: there is no leatheriness present, nor any vanillish notes. To me this is much more reminiscent of Cardamom Coffee Perfume . Cardamom Coffee Perfume has more coffee, that's for sure! But this takes that cardamom accord and surrounds it in a powdery cloud, the ginger peeks through occasionally.

As it dries down, floral notes appear, giving it that Toy Boy florality, even though it's very different to the predecessor.

I was very hyped for this and so far th3 hype is deserved!

OLFACTIVE FAMILY: WOODY, AMBER, SPICY

Fragrance Review:

First thoughts, the opening has an aromatic, warm spicy sweet woody scent, almost similar to Burberry Hero flankers but sweeter.

• Toy Boy 2 is mostly a sweet woody amber vibe with a touch of coffee aromatic scent, versatile, mass appealing and completely different compare to the original Toy Boy.

• I sprayed a total of 5 times. Twice behind each ear, twice on the front of neck, and once in front of my chest.
The longevity is good and lasts approximately 8+ hours on my skin.
This fragrance projects poorly though, with about a 6 ft radius for 30 minutes, and a skin scent after.
(Depends on skin types)

While it's a unique release by Moschino, it does smell bitter sweet at times and I know the projection for this fragrance just isn't the best for a sweet woody scent. It's definitely suitable for the autunm/Winter Seasons.

Babycat meets Toy Boy? - Moschino's Best

I have always found Toy Boy to be really good for a designer fragrance.
It lacked nothing in creativity, and overall it was very successful, but it never quite made it to a purchase for me. When I saw that there was going to be a new version, I simply had to test it.

Aside from the fact that the bottle is in a beautiful matte black, the scent completely convinced me from the very first test.

It opens extremely sweet and creamy, with a hint of Babycat that is perceptible to my nose, combined with the typical Toy Boy DNA, but presented in a more modern way.

In the heart, spicy cardamom unfolds, carried by a coffee-like sweetness that is not dry but almost resinous. This is accompanied by ginger, which gives the fragrance that certain something.

In the drydown, some of the familiar Toy Boy character comes through.

Angular Akigalawood takes over, contrasting sweetness and spiciness that give the fragrance character and depth. Woody, almost powdery and mature, with an extremely strong projection and remarkably long-lasting durability.

A successful release, in my opinion.

The handsome man walks into a...

... basement club. He wears a brown leather jacket with a white shirt unbuttoned down to his navel. His blonde chest hair is spilling out. He positions himself at the bar between an attractive woman and an equally attractive man. He orders an espresso and a whisky. Both the woman and the man are drawn to the toy boy.

Upon applying this fragrance, the first thing that hits the nose is a sharp dark spicy leather scent. A coffee aroma mixes in with a hint of pepper. This perfume is earthy and resinous with just a touch of floral accords. This scent is masculine and dirty.

The longevity and sillage are good.

Here we have a men's fragrance that differs from the original. In the original, the dark rose is dominant, while here it is the dark leather. I can't really imagine this scent on women, but as always, ladies, please test it for yourselves. I would say the entry age is around 25 years and open-ended upwards. During the day, I can see it in the office, at a lunch, while shopping, or with friends in a café. In the evening, for a date, in a bar, in a club, at dinner, or even at the theater, it also works well.

Anyone who enjoys a sharp dark spicy peppery earthy resinous floral leather scent with a coffee twist is exactly in the right place and could have fun. But beware, this is a fragrance that can also rub people the wrong way. Then especially.

Caramelized Roasted Coffee Beans

Unexpected start, beautiful first impression. Fresh, woody, briefly leather-like, deep. Then floral and lovely, pleasing. Shifting between roasting aromas and dark resins and equally dark sweetness.

I soon perceive roasted coffee beans and a gentle smokiness. The scent of caramelized rice from childhood or caramelized sunflower seeds on the palate.
It is by no means a gourmand, merely my personal association with its resinousness.

Less interesting is it after the drydown with its sweetly lovely floral notes and somewhat ordinary sweetness.

The woody spiciness is rather discreetly perceptible. More creamy, unless a subtle soft-bitter leather shines through again.

For the asking full price, I wouldn't have indulged in the successor, but the Parfumo-Souk is always good for a fair price find, and as a collector, I didn't want to leave my "Toy Boy" standing alone.
As outstandingly unique as the predecessor, the EdP fails to become. A bit disillusioning.

Here, marketing has trimmed the lawn strictly according to statistics. Accordingly, less creative. However, it is somewhat better than its competitors.

Compared to its predecessor, it is less complex, significantly more pleasing, and can be placed in the "Phantom", "Victory", or even Initio universe in terms of craftsmanship. You can definitely sense the synthetics here.

Nonetheless, it is less densely packed and, in terms of progression and composition, more interesting ...and successful. It offers a circulating exchange within its fragrance notes and varying impressions.

It is an evening perfume, suitable for pleasant, sociable coffee bar visits of an intimate nature. No controversial sensually wild marketing representation like the predecessor. Yet the well-groomed man, who knows how to dress neatly, will also know how to use this one in his leisure time, as well as for seduction.
