Silky skin

It opens up with fresh fruits, I feel "Ah! This is nice and crisp". 30 min later it becomes a sweet flower scent, like a glove, or necklace (or underwear, depends on where you put it ... !). Lasts about 4 hours on my skin.

I guess it's called "silk" because it's close to the skin and lays there like a piece of silk. One would really have to lean in to smell this. And yeah, it makes me want to rip my clothes off, because it's a sensual scent. All of the men in my life have said "girl, you smell Good!" when they hugged me or get near me wearing this...

But it's not for me. I want something I can get a my own relationship to, you know.. get to know, hang out with it.. I can't smell it. I can't form a bond with something I can't smell. I envy my male friends for smelling me.

I think this is for the times when you want someone to follow your scents trail to the right spot. A very intimate fragrance.

a dress full of life

I am not a winter person - and I still don't like snow and cold.
I still can't ski either.

So I trudged - violating the face-covering ban - through the supermarket like a puffy Michelin man - and grabbed Silk Collection.

This soft, gliding scent reminds me of the nude-colored silk dress that my friend unexpectedly revealed when she, also in wintertime, freed herself from her heavy, boxy duffle coat.

An Aaah and Ohhh went through the club as she unveiled herself.
This silk top slid down her like a second skin.
Cool, beautiful, fragile, and yet confident.

Wolf Maahn sings: So I want to see you smoke a cigarette - and I wish for a dress full of life now...

I wish for that too - but she is in another place.

I walk to the checkout with squeaky wet boots - but I take the scent and a bottle of champagne with me.

And the beautiful memory.

The Name Is Not the Program Here!

Many fragrances attract scent enthusiasts with an interesting name. Just like in this example for me. Strolling through a drugstore, browsing to see what new things there are, my gaze suddenly falls on this newcomer. What a great name. After all, some have learned from Mrs. Klum that Prêt à Porter is something really special. Well, the inner connection worked, and since there was no tester at hand, it went straight into the basket.
In the car, the packaging had to give way; the scent had to be tested right now and not later - the name on the packaging was practically shouting at me. Sprayed on in anticipation of a fragrance that lives up to its name, and then - wait! Is this the scent? Really? Why? Why not another name?
The scent on my skin is a mix of current fragrances like La vie est Belle, Poison Girl, just a bit fresher. I generally like sweet scents, so I wasn't disappointed, just irritated.
Orange and mandarin add a zesty freshness to the sweetness, where the aforementioned two scents become too sticky, this one is better balanced and therefore not so overwhelming. Jasmine and orange blossom dance together in a sweet white veil.
They are later accompanied by woody companions. This saves the situation just before the mandarin and orange awkwardly lose the battle against the sweetness.
A sweet-woody residue remains on my wrist.
Is the scent special and deserving of its name? No.
Is it particularly long-lasting? No. More like average.
Is it something new? No. A mix of previously existing scents that sold well.
Still, it's not bad. Maybe an alternative for someone who finds the other scents too sticky and doesn't want to dig too deep into their pockets. So don't judge it beforehand, just set the name aside and give it a try!

Disappointment

I had been waiting for this little appearance on the shelves of German drugstores, as the fragrance pyramid sounded like it was exactly my thing. I expected a lovely fruity-orange citrus top note, a summer scent.
However, during testing, there was not even a hint of that; it was immediately very sweet, cheap-scratchy, and undefinable. Neither citrus nor any flowers could be discerned; apparently, the cheapest ingredients were used here. There is no trace of elegance.
After about 2 hours, the scent on the skin becomes milky, silky - so the scratchiness disappears, but even then it is nothing more than quite pleasant. Beautiful bottle, cheap content.

By the way, there is an EdP and an EdT; I tested the EdT since there was no tester for the EdP.
