Quite unique..

.. I find this little perfume. At first, I didn't like it that much, but then I smelled it on a friend and found it so convincing that I had to get it too *g*..
In contrast to many other drugstore scents, I find this one pleasantly fresh and not sweet at all, but somehow citrusy at the start.
Shortly after, it is replaced by some flowers and fruits, and after a while, a really wonderful note remains that I unfortunately can't quite place..
(But it definitely has something to do with sandalwood). When I spray it on, I have to keep smelling it over and over again; it has a somehow calming effect.
In terms of the idea, it almost reminds me a bit of the "Un Jardin..." series by Hermès, this fresh, rounded scent, like fresh green grass, ripe lemons, and rain.
I just find it totally beautiful and very special compared to other drugstore fragrances.

Fragrance Convincing

Now I find myself in a bit of a dilemma: I usually can't stand celebrity fragrances and have often criticized them! Nevertheless, I occasionally test one - I might be proven wrong one of these days... This happened with this new perfume by Naomi Campbell, simply called "Naomi." Visually, the presentation is quite appealing; I think the little bottle and the silver packaging are really pretty! Now to the main point, the scent - which has truly convinced me and stands out pleasantly from the others - I would say - drugstore perfumes (although, to be honest, I had already mentally prepared myself to criticize it heavily). Naomi Campbell is also not really the most sympathetic figure with her allure, but so what? The scent is ultimately the most important thing:
The top note impresses me with lemony, juicy-fruity nuances. Floral notes follow, and I can easily detect the lovely, mild lotus. The fragrance is definitely gourmand, as coffee, caramel, and vanilla perfectly round everything off. No one needs to worry about smelling like a Viennese café; the coffee note remains subtle and is not as prominent as, for example, in "L'Or de Torrente" by Torrente or in "Desire Me" by Escada.
I have the Eau de Parfum, and it really lasts forever.
All in all, I find the fragrance great and pleasant to wear.

Today the fragrance arrived and was immediately tested. I had something completely different in mind. I was curious about the coffee and caramel. But unfortunately, I can't smell any of that. I also don't recognize any of the other components personally. It really smells more citrusy and I even find it quite herbaceous. It could even suit a man. All in all, the fragrance is okay. But it's not suitable for this season now (autumn, winter). It's just too fresh. I'm not disappointed, I will use it, just not until spring again.

delayed summer scent

I am always curious about the Naomi Campbell fragrances - they have often surprised me positively - just thinking of the beautiful "naomagic," for which I went "miles."
I wrote.

So I eagerly tore open the little package - and also opened my eyes!

I did not expect such a herb-fresh opening.
The guava is fresh, and the tonic lemon is distinctly herbaceous.
A clean soapiness also comes into play, and I first need to recover from this nasal shower.

I think, in sweltering heat, this could be a welcome relief, but now, with the moderate temperatures, the start is a bit harsh to bracing.

However, the scent soon calms down with clear lotus and citrusy rose.
The little cup of coffee comes in very handy after the herb-fresh start.

I cannot pinpoint softeners like sandalwood and vanilla.

Overall, Naomi remains somewhat strict and unyielding, not what I had hoped for.
Maybe I should try it again in summer?

What now?

The fragrance has received really good reviews and I'm trying to understand why. I tested it myself today and have to say that I was anything but impressed by what I had to smell.

Sure, yes, I can't say that the liquid smells bad. No, it really doesn't. But it was bland, boring, very much so. It was nothing special and so I immediately disposed of the test strip and was annoyed that I had wasted my time on it at all.

Now, however, I think I should test the fragrance on my skin again to possibly get a better impression, especially since the notes do sound nice, right?

So I reserve the right to revise my comment soon and provide further feedback ... =)

Yes, you see, I like to give fragrances a second chance. (And sometimes even a third). ;)

P.S.: Second test is done. I stand by my opinion.
