When we are presented with an X for a U
The other day I took a friend to the airport. When we wanted to take the elevator up to the departure terminal with his luggage, it was locked with red and white tape. "Defect" was indicated by a sign next to it. A little irritated we looked around, with so much luggage an elevator would be nice. Then a friendly lady in a blue uniform came towards us. She said with a smile, "Come with me." So we followed her with the whole rubbish of luggage - strangely enough to a counter. I felt similarly fooled when I sprayed For Her Eau de Toilette Délicate.
Now I have to send something forward: I know the normal For Her EDT, but not from Parfumo, but from real life: For Her EDT is the signature of my cousin's wife. On it, For Her smells wonderfully soft, high-quality and exhilaratingly floral. I liked it so much that I asked her if I could spray it on. Unfortunately the scent turned into a bitingly hot jasmine bomb and very unpleasantly scratchy. My cousin's wife was quite horrified that her beautiful scent, developed so nastily with me. Since I had already tested Narciso Eau de Parfum Poudree and the same thing happened there, I cut off the women's fragrances from Narciso for myself, and the also tested For Her EDP had also deterred me with exuberant suffocating musk.
A few days ago I got into a conversation about a perfume exchange and I was offered Narciso For Her Eau de Toilette Délicate.
First I waved, said the typical Narciso jasmine unfortunately develops unpleasantly and with the musk I would also have problems. But the exchange partner said that she hardly noticed musk there and on closer inspection it also turned out that there was no jasmine listed in the pyramid of the Délicate. Then I read the existing commentary and thought: Multivitamin juice? It doesn't sound that bad and I can only be happy if it is clearly different from my biting EDT. So I agreed to the swap.
Now I have received it and of course tested it with curiosity: Pfft-
what is that? Jasmine! Very clear and immediately violent jasmine.
I don't believe it! He's not supposed to be in there right now.
How come it's not listed in the pyramid? That's a deception, just like the woman at the airport!
But a second surprise follows: Even if the jasmine stays for the whole hours, it doesn't develop here as badly biting as with For Her EDT or Narciso Eau de Parfum Poudree, but rather with a little green-soapy freshness.
Surprisingly, the jasmine tends to stay fresh as in the moment of spraying and I can guess the beautiful scent of For Her, as it is on my cousin's wife, now also on me: Jasmine, friendly, clear, noble, underlaid with a light, facing floralness, probably owed to osmanthus, which I do not explicitly recognize here, however, and a mildness that I attribute to amber and patchouli.
The musk is so subtle that it may contribute a touch of warmth, but I don't smell musk here either, and that means something, since I'm a musk mice spotter.
There is nothing to be found of figs, which I usually do not like in perfumes and which therefore stand out very quickly for me.
What a curiosity: I explicitly smell only jasmine. And it's not listed.
But the surprises are not over yet. Because I took a look how For Her Délicate differs from For Her EDT:
Only by specifying fig. It's not supposed to be in the normal EDT. And even in normal EDT there is no jasmine listed.

Never mind. I can say: I found a Narciso I like! It has even found a place in my collection, because it represents a fragrance that I have always missed. Most of the time the representatives had something that I did not like. For Her Eau de Toilette Délicate is a jasmine fragrance, yes, but it beguiles with its softness and delicate warmth as well as its soapy freshness. Quite as beautiful as the normal EDT on my cousin's wife is not with me, but it goes clearly in the direction.
