She is not "that girl" and it's ok
I am a huge Narciso Rodriguez fan, I think the house has given us some of the best perfumes and some of the most iconic as well, I have never smelled anything bad from the house, they do align with my preferences that much. My signature smell is the Narciso Poudree my favorite so far from the For Her line is Musc Noir as I discovered from a sample some days ago and I also think that the male perfumes are severely underappreciated as well, so imagine my shock when the All of Me came out and the negative reviews started to flow. I hadn't had the opportunity to smell it for myself so I put a sample immediately when I found it online some days ago and I have to say, that I understand but also don't understand the negativity around this fragrance. As other commentators said most people were comparing it to their favorite fragrance from the house especially the For Her line and I think this is where All of Me lost, but there was no reason for a battle either. I can understand people comparing, but the perfume is a stand-alone and not in the For Her line.

Notes on the official site: white peony, geranium bourbon, rose centifolia, heart of musc, sandalwood

So, All of Me is a very flowery fresh perfume. It is pretty but nothing extraordinary. At the opening personally got more magnolia than peony as listed in the notes of the official NR site and I am not the only one as I have seen. I get a very prominent fresh magnolia smell after it sets the rose and the geranium come forth as well and it continues to be a very fresh flowery perfume, I don't get synthetic, I don't get creamy or woody I only get a very fresh, very flowery, but light floral not at all screechy or heavy and slightly powdery smell, but the minuscule powder I get it is from the flowers and not from the musk. The musk is kinda non-existent. Even after it completely sets the wood and the musk are not present, I personally cannot detect them maybe if I stick my nose to my wrist I can smell a tiny bit of the musk, but the sandalwood not at all. The perfume is a very light flowery scent, that is very fresh, it is not a bad smell at all, it is actually quite pretty, but with not much depth or longevity. I know people who have issues with NR and longevity in many perfumes but I never had an issue, the perfumes last, it is just that the sillage, especially after some time, is very very intimate and I personally like this, here the longevity is an issue the perfume after around 3-4 hours was not there it was not the intimate sillage. The absence of the sandalwood and the musk have hurt the longevity and the depth of the fragrance even if the smell itself is dainty and pretty.

Unlike many NR perfumes is not for every season imo, it is more of a spring perfume, and maybe for a very crisp, sunny, bright, winter morning as well and that is ok, it shouldn't be because the perfume is not in the For Her or the Narciso line. The perfume's biggest flaw is the longevity and the lack of depth I think with a slight reformulation, to make the musk and the wood prominent after some time, people would actually give an equal amount of love to this fragrance as they do for other NR perfumes.

Smell: 6.5 -> It is a very fresh, delicate, dainty, pretty floral. I would give more if I could smell the musk and the sandalwood, but I can't so...

Longevity: 4 -> 4 hours, 4 points

Sillage: 6 -> For as long as the perfume is there the sillage is not that bad or intimate, for sure people on the other side of the table won't smell you, but the person next to you might give a compliment for the cute flowery scent. It's not Poudree where people first smell me and then see me for example.

Ok, All of me is not "that girl", I will not invest in a full bottle not even in a smaller one after the sample empties, except if a reformulation occurs, but many reviews I found dramatic AF

Narciso Rodriguez' most okayest fragrance
Narciso Rodriguez used to be easy to categorize. They had two different kinds of musky DNA, one for the Narciso line (cube bottles) and one for the For Her line (tall bottles). I was always a big fan of the cube. In recent years, some newer flankers came out that didn't follow the familiar pattern even though they came in the same bottles. Musc Noir for example doesn't smell like For Here, and Narciso Cristal and Ambrée don't have a lot in common with the (sadly discontinued!) original white Narciso EDP. So I guess it was time for something completely new.

But this? I don't understand it. It isn't a distinctive new take on musk, like For Her and Narciso were when they were new. It's musky, yes, but very vaguely so. Also floral and powdery. I can definitely smell rose, and after looking at the notes I can see magnolia, too, but it's all so undefined. The notes get lost in the blend.

Now I don't mind inoffensive daytime scents and I don't think that every perfume has to reinvent the wheel. But some scents are just boring and unimaginative, and this is one of them. If someone told me this was from Yves Rocher or some random drugstore brand like Betty Barclay or s.Oliver, I wouldn't doubt it for a second. Meh. It's just so okay, nothing more than that. Bring back Narciso EDP!

The disappointment from Narciso Rodriguez
In recent months I’ve been testing more designer fragrances alongside niche simply to get a better sense of what that segment truly offers. But most of the time, I can’t even keep them on all day: many are so unpleasantly synthetic that they make me feel physically uncomfortable.

However, I’m a big fan of Narciso Rodriguez, particularly the Narciso line and the For Her line. The cube fragrances are wonderfully rich, effortlessly chic, and deeply indulgent. The For Her line, by contrast, has a charm rooted in purity and a breathable texture. And unlike many brands whose flankers vary wildly in quality, I genuinely think every fragrance in the For Her collection stands on equal footing, none have been a flop.

All of Me, however, is completely different from previous NR releases. It slips into the category of countless other designers by being an impersonal floral fragrance. The opening is promising - fresh and natural, like a morning walk through a garden when flower petals are still damp. The aroma even reminds me more of Mangolia than the notes listed. I only wish this phase lasted longer. After about fifteen minutes, the scent shifts into a typical designer profile, and a slightly unpleasant synthetic edge starts to bother me. The clear, bright, airy freshness disappears, replaced by a sharp, somewhat pungent floral mix.

It will certainly appeal to those who generally enjoy designer fragrances, but I’ve always loved the white musk in Rodriguez’s creations, especially the way it’s used, and it simply doesn’t show up here. That white musk has been the special element that made so many niche-fragrance lovers fall for NR in the first place. This fragrance has no Narciso Rodriguez dna at all. Sandalwood is also one of my favorite notes for adding soft creaminess, so I’m baffled by where it’s supposed to be in this fragrance. You can’t smell it at all - instead, it seems to give the fragrance a thick, waxy feel rather than the creamy quality a genuine or well-executed sandalwood accord provides. As for the floral notes, I won’t go into further detail: they just don’t smell realistic.

Unfortunately, All of Me ends up having the same issue I encounter with so many basic designers: the initially pleasant, momentarily charming opening devolves into a repulsive, overpowering chemical muddle. I truly can’t imagine wanting to smell this for even an hour.

something new once in a while
Since there are many new fragrances on the market at the moment, I had to check things out at the Karstadt perfumery.
The scent-sensitive husband accompanied me.

First, I headed towards L`elixir by La Vie est belle, as I like their flankers.
But the husband wrinkled his sensitive hunting dog nose and indicated that this flanker didn’t make the cut for him.

However, he pushed me further to the Narciso stand, as I also host a few Narcisos.

And lo and behold, he lingered beside me as I sprayed all of me.

Its sweetness is light and lovely, and it dances a bit out of the straight Narciso line.
I find it a successful outing.

The flowers harmoniously blend together, and even the tuberose is not too dominant, but willingly integrates into the floral ensemble.
Amber is a soft cushion on which the flowers are presented.

A captivatingly feminine scent that even elicits a nod of approval from the critical husband.
Narciso has skillfully taken a new path here.

Narciso gives it all & what is the thanks?
Everyone tears apart this beautiful new powder fragrance, which could well be described as a blend of Narciso, Narciso Poudre, Narciso Cristal & Fleur Musc. Many are bothered by the apparent chaos and refer to it as "mush" of all previous Narciso scents. This happens when one approaches it with the expectation of a linear, uniform fragrance and only tests it briefly. I also approached the sample this way and was disappointed. Now I love it and am already looking forward to when it can move in with me.

It is an absolute all-rounder, although I will only wear it for business appointments like all the others from Narciso, as it creates a very clean, pleasant, calm, peaceful atmosphere. Recently, for example, I had applied a bit too much of Narciso Poudre and was about to apologize when my colleague reassured me and said she thinks it’s very nice.

The bottle looks unremarkable at first glance. However, upon closer inspection, it fits much better in the hand (-Taache) than its angular predecessors. The matte and elegant gold design and the subtle lettering also impress with understatement.

Overall, it can be said that it is a successful fragrance that, especially for fans, often needs a bit more than the 0.6 ml sample to adjust. However, if you allow yourself to embrace it, you have a wonderful companion - a daytime scent that is wearable in all seasons and appears as subtle and peaceful as hardly any other among all the loud new releases this year.

Extremely feminine and discrete, just suggested and not haunted. So classy!
I like it for its balanced bouquet

Feminine fragrances from this house are some of the best on the mainstream market. This, however, is quite the opposite.

I find it to be very fresh, rose-forward. After an hour or so it becomes more creamy/musky than floral. Soft, pleasant, my go-to work scent.

Soft rose and musk with slight coconutty undertone. Very light scent, almost imperceptible and definitely unforgettable.

A musky Narciso twist on a typical designer floral. A little geranium heavy to begin with but mellows into a beautiful sultry floral.

It doesn't feel like an NR scent at all, but a basic designer floral, where nothing smells natural or pleasant after the initial freshness.

All of them mainstream top-sellers in one... Rose, milky fabric softener fig, rich musk, sweet. Barbie, that's your fragrance!

Smells like an old potpourri, sitting dusty on the table, trying to be revived with water. Horribly sweet-fruity.

What a shame about the bad reviews!
It just smells so wonderfully sweet like rose petals, and I find it very airy :)

For a Narciso, I find it almost gentle. However, it needs to be dosed carefully. 1 spray is enough. Well-groomed - floral - soapy - delicate.
