In a rose garden...
I found a bottle from the 1960s. It is the EDT with fluorocarbon gas that was banned in the 1970s. It doesn't hurt the fragrance at all. It adds an aldehyde kick to the opening. Capricci is a lost classic that deserves some attention, so I gave it some.
This is truly a fairy rose garden that whispers romance. It was created by Francis Fabron, the nose of L'air de Temps. They are both perfect for summer and last the entire day. L'air de Temps focuses on carnation, Capricci is rose. Not the sweet, sugary offerings of today, yet real garden flowers the will attract bees if you are in the garden on a hot afternoon.
The composition is so delicate and well crafted that it is hard to pick it apart the notes. I get iris and oakmoss among the roses. If there is tuberose here its so well blended, like Chanel #22.
It is the perfume of royals. Particularly the fairy queen and her court. Imagine a midsummer nights dream...
