Diverse Selfies of an Eventful Night
Just a heads-up: while the name may be catchy, it is definitely poorly chosen. The fragrance does not allow for a snapshot. It does not reveal its character in a single image. It needs many.
The opening is exciting, spicy, and wintry. A stroll through the Christmas market without overly sweet mulled wine, more peppernut than candied apple. Interesting, but never soft and rounded. Phone out: Selfie No. 1; early evening, full of anticipation, first mulled wine, good mood.
Then the woody and resinous notes come to the forefront. Too much for my taste. Selfie No. 2; my feet are getting cold, mood is dropping.
The scent becomes overwhelmingly resinous. And that lasts for hours. I hope others don’t perceive me this way. Selfie No. 3; the cold is slowly seeping into my limbs, the mulled wine no longer tastes good, the group at the next table is annoying, and I just want to leave.
Much later, the scent becomes softer. Patchouli and tonka bean finally take over. Selfie No. 3; change of location, finally something decent to drink, and I start to feel warm. The mood improves.
Finally, the fragrance ends with a delicate hint of suede with tonka bean. Wonderful, but very weak. Selfie No. 4; the rest of the evening was pleasantly drunk, a cozy grin on my face, but I’m starting to yawn.
The last trace fades after more than 8 hours. That’s enough for a long night. Selfie No. 5; safely home.
All in all, I find the fragrance interesting, but not wearable for hours. If it weren't for the middle part, it could be a lovely winter scent. But as it is, it was at least worth the test.
