Not everyone can wear leather
The new "Shot"-collection of Olfactive Studios seems to arrive (at least here on Parfumo) rather lukewarm. And this despite the very good reputation of the brand, despite Duchaufour at the controls, despite already now considered further offshoots (Rose Shot etc.). But for this "Leather Shot" I have to break a little lance, I like it very much, best of all from the "Schuss"-Trio.
It's a spicy leather scent with a slightly oriental hint of caraway and cardamom - but above all its fruity light, slightly bitter beginning sets it apart from other perfumes of its kind and in the unique dissonant harmonies (yes, I know, it's an oxymoron) I think I can read typical Duchaufour DNA, splendid and slightly epic. He wasn't that playful and brave even for a long time. "Leather Shot" is a creamy leather saddle, slightly animalistic and sweaty, but also with its soft spots. Iris and unmistakable Chai tea allow the fragrance to flow out almost powdery over long stretches. Light and shade are the olfactory and characteristical handles here - qualitatively and creatively but certainly not, because for me the light and the positive clearly predominate!
Flacon: no matter what the boys and girls at Olfactive Studio come up with for their flacons and presentation - it's great!
Sillage: presumably unobtrusive and reserved without being small-breasted.
Shelf life: perfectly adequate 6-8 hours.
Conclusion: a rough leather cowboy with many soft sides and great, fruity-spicy facets. Sounds confusing, but makes for me a fine, homogeneous overall impression and a leather delicacy, which can come almost only from Duchaufour. Very easy to wear despite its later darkness
