Devilscent #2: The Main Act
A smokey, anamalic and sexy, sweet cinnamon fragrance that is great for wearing on cold Autumn and Winter nights. This is also the perfect fragrance to wear for those intimate moments.

This one has a strong scent and is not for everyone, so you might want to get the sample before purchasing the 60 ml bottle (the largest size for this fragrance).

Sillage: The fumes of Dev 2- The Main Act, will fill the room with its scent, so go easy on the number of sprays. One spray is great and two sprays is great but almost pushing it, in my opinion.

Longevity: Very, very long lasting (12-24 hours). You will easily smell this on your skin the next day.

Olympic Orchids Artisan Perfumes / DEV #2: The Main Act
Mmmm ... balm for my burned heart, smoked with incense and labdanum - skin, cinnamon-clove and spiced horns, hooves worn in civet, musk and castoreum, and an agaric tail.
Ladies and Gentlemen - it is beautiful, it is a unique work. My predecessors wrote a lot about it. There is POWER, THERE IS INCENSE ... A LOT OF INCENSE, SMOKE, LABDANUM and God or Devil knows what else is there. For sure I can feel what is above and the smoky, smoked plum, agar, leather, musk and spices.
The work is very palpable, beautiful and powerful. Durability over 12 hours. Personally, it reminds me of Vi Et Armis Beaufort.
And now I walk away in silence to contemplate in the haze of this main 'demonic' act.

Perfect scent for Halloween party
Please don’t take me wrong, it is very complex and beautiful fragrance. Definitely not for every day wear. Colder weather is perfect condition to open up this fragrance in full glory. Davana essential oils gives this scent dried fruits notes. Delicious. We used to go trick or treating at night around our neighborhood, and have party afterwards at our house. This year is everything changed, but we still dressed up for our party, plenty treats and perfect scent for this occasion is “Dev two. The main act”. I enjoyed every drop of it.

Smells like BBQ?..
I only tried Blackbird and Nightflyer from Olympic Orchids before, and this is... very different. I like the notes, but somehow they're not mixed in a good way in there? Or maybe it's too resinous for my tastes. I don't know, but it smells like meat on a barbecue. Too strong too, eh. I didn't like it sadly! But the bottle is super cool, at least.

The Mulled Wine Assignment
Wolle and his buddies were once again guests at their rundown local pub. They laughed, drank beer from the Ruhr area, and eventually hoisted Udo into a taxi after he had already spent two hours drunkenly sleeping in the restroom. Additionally, Totty was put into a taxi to the hospital; he had somewhat successfully attempted to create a cyclopean visage while playing billiards. So far, it was a normal evening. Suddenly, Wolle said goodbye; it was just one o'clock in the morning.

“Guys,” said Hajo, the landlord, “what’s up with your boss? He’s only staying until one again? On two legs? All the time?? Is this some kind of fasting?”
“Oh, he surely has his reasons. Maybe it’s about Ilse.”
“No, no, he’s been smelling lately... like he just came from a Christmas market after a long stay at the mulled wine stand. Isn’t he drinking as much beer anymore?”
“It’s spring, where would he get that from? Don’t worry, Hajo!”
“Well... cover for me at the tap, Hotte. But don’t drink too much for free, you rascals!”

So Hajo followed Wolle, who suddenly didn’t seem to be staggering at all. Oddly, he moved forward in a straight and normal manner. Was he... sober? Now Hajo was really worried. Wolle... the man single-handedly paid Hajo’s rent; that couldn’t be. Was Wolle cheating on him? Suddenly, Wolle veered towards an office complex and stopped in front of a building. He looked around furtively and then slipped inside. Hajo followed, just barely making it. Gently and from a distance, he trailed Wolle. He entered an office, and what Hajo saw horrified him; sheer terror coursed through his limbs: a whole bunch of mulled wine Tetra Paks from the hardware store. The 20-liter variant. Wolle poured some into glasses; the case was clear. Hajo and his beer were Wolle’s discarded bride, Wolle was cheating on Hajo’s pub with golden Ruhr area beer. Dejected, Hajo left the scene.

And so he didn’t see what Wolle was doing with the mulled wine. “The Covey and her ideas... she wants a mulled wine scent with leather and spices...”
He mixed spicy cardamom with invigorating citrus, sweetened the scent with a hint of davana and rose water. Now the mulled wine smelled somewhat sweet but also strong, warming, and comforting.
Next, he had to process the leather. He simply poured the mixture onto a worn leather jacket and added a few twigs he had collected outside. Now the leather came through stronger, more robust, and coarser. The wood smelled dry and brittle, barely able to absorb the mulled wine that was soaking into the leather. It now smelled darker, more sultry, and deeper.
Wolle was satisfied, but something was missing... he looked around. Ah! The rice pudding with cinnamon! He didn’t like the latter in it anyway. So he rounded off the wine with it, and voila! From the very beginning, the cinnamon gave the scent a rounder profile. He would call the scent Dessert. No! Main course... no, that sounded silly, Main Act! Yes, that’s what he would suggest to the Covey.

When Wolle got home, beer bottles were arranged in a heart shape in front of his front door. In the middle was a photo collage of things Wolle had already financed through his beer consumption: rent, cars, university fees, even two horses. Also, a handwritten note: “I forgive you!”
“What is Hajo sending me this for? Whatever, I’ll have one more!” Wolle grabbed a beer, opened it with his eye socket, and drank.
“Yessir! He belongs to me....,” came a joyful cheer from the bushes.

Medicinal, smoky amber from DEV #1 with zingy spices & boozy, herbal twist. Inflated note pyramid (no castoreum, civet, oud). Reformulated?

Charred wood beneath salty/smoky and honeyed labdanum; some sour red fruitiness beneath. Poor parameters, LCDD by Lutens beats this handily.

I get an olive opening here, which I love. Spicy smokey resiny underneath with good longevity. Not an everyday scent but will wear again.

A heavily spiced and slightly smoky Winter fragrance, kept in check by a warm animalic resinous-woody base. Nice cinnamon-clove combo!

I like resins and animalics but this is too much and messy for me.

One of my favourites from the line, there is , at least to me, a black olive brine smell that is really unique and plays into the theme

Chaotic smoky leather. There is sweet note that I find off-putting. I prefer Dev #3 by far
