One of a kind Leather Perfume
Salamanca from Olympic Orchids. I remember a long time ago while exploring the house and stumbling upon this scent. Reading the description, I knew it was going to be unique. It is a one-of-a-kind take on the leather perfume genre. I promise you've never smelt anything like it.
A bold, dry leather dressed up in a strong clay-like smell, earthy, and herbaceous. It almost feels rustic. I believe that it is the most special offering from the house, in a line that hides many gems.
It is a thick perfume built around heavy base notes for the most part. Dry leather, sweet hay and immortelle, strong clay aroma, earthy/dry vetiver, and some resins. I don't get the seaweed note fortunately, it would have thrown off the balance, in my opinion. On my skin, the clay accord is very strong making this perfume not just unique and enchanting but also incredibly nostalgic. It reminds me of our sculpture classes back in my art school early years. A beautiful reminder of those days. I long searched for a perfume composition that would capture the realistic smell of clay. I went searching for Mitti attars but none hit the spot. Until I discovered Salamanca. There is a herbaceous quality from the usage of hay and immortelle. They also provide sweetness alongside the resins used in the base. I feel Salamanca would make a great perfume for an archeologist, or a cowboy.
A must-try from the house, for leather and agrestic perfume lovers. High-quality materials, unique blend, and more than reasonably priced.
