Muted Citrus
Bergamotto leans heavily toward lemon. Personally, I would’ve liked a touch of that soft orange blossom nuance bergamot sometimes carries, that gentle, sun-kissed undertone.
But here, none of that. The scent felt surprisingly faint, especially compared to other offerings from Ortigia. It lacks depth, and unfortunately comes across as rather synthetic. I couldn’t help but think of a not-so-great home air freshener, one of those that tries to mimic nature and misses the mark.
A pity, really, when you know how radiant real bergamot can be.
